Sherman was far below her league and even if she decided to start a relationship with him, she was probably afraid that the Klump's calorie-heavy life habits might eventually stick on her. As well as affecting her waistline. It was another of "Lois Lane wants to date Superman, but ignores Clark Kent" scenario tropes again, except than this time when the Lois or Mary-Jane of the story found out the truth, she don't settle for the superhero.
