Unfortunately never been able to afford schooling, but I've listened to every single lecture on biology and history I could find on RUclips. Thank you for making this! ❤ Education should be cheaper
@rrogers2370 I work a full-time job, and a part time job after work, since I live alone! Unfortunately I just don't have time aside from a bit of winding down before bed at 8pm 🫠
haven’t been to school in ten years and just re-enrolled in college. I need all the help I can get thanks for the video. its a good warm up lecture before I take my actual bio class
same here and just started this spring semester. it was a little intimidating to say the least after decdes being out of school. I watched this and many other intro to bio videos several times already haha. the repetition of same topics definitely helped in understanding these concepts more intuitively. all the best to your study!
This dude is a very talented teacher :) You can feel his enthusiasm through his words and his teaching is very easy to learn from, ..I find :) it's rare to find!
Dude, thank you so much for providing this information for free on RUclips. I'm not a biology student ( amateur ), nor do I have anything to do with it, career wise, but I just like to have knowledge, and I watch your videos multiple times, and I still do. It's people like you and Sal khan from khan academy, that make this world a better place. I can learn anything I want, without going broke! Lol thanks once again.
@IShowSpeed Clips Education is already free. RUclips is the greatest miracle in human history. Keep using it while you can, cause I can assure this won't last forever. They will get rid of it.
For me actually great time to cover the syllabus before I get back to school again. And this lecture is a an amazing and easy way to learn and prepare .
Just found your channel the night before my first test over 4 chapters. Doing online so I have lots of homework and not a lot of time to study. This is a great lecture. Thank you sir.
This is really helpful! I have a Biology professor and she does not teach all so good and most students in her class are confused and leave early! This is so much more helpful for me thank you!
Sir, thank you very much for posting this. I have learned a lot just by watching your video. I also took the important details on my notes so that I can review it. You are such an amazing professor just like my biology prof when I was in grade 12 who can explain everything in detailed and examples. By the way I am from the Philippines and I am having a college entrance exam this May 😭 Thank you again Sir for the series of video you've made for biology. I am currently watching them 😇
Thank you so much for this lesson. I use it to home school my child. At this rate we can achieve college degrees through RUclips University. Bad news for some institutions. XD
Thanks to sir because he teach lessons about biology and its pretty good because i incoming freshman this years Bs Biology. This is Helpful to all students like me.
I heard the whole lecture and found it interesting. He talked about how biology works. He brought up the Cell Theory, evolution, cloning and other topics related to biology. I can't wait to hear more lectures on biology.
I just finished 8th grade, and wanted some extra practice since I am taking AP bio next year! This was so helpful, thank you so much. I am taking notes on everything that has been mentioned in the video, everything is so clear. Thank you once more!
Thank you so much. My biology teacher is violent and we are all scared of him . He thinks we understand what he teaches . You are a live saver I understood this in less than one hour. Something u couldn’t learn in three quiz
Going back to school after dropping out my junior year of college when I was 22. I think I want to be a doctor. Don’t know if I want my bachelors in chemistry or biology, but after this lecture I’m thinking biology. I’m 28. Wish me luck.
just watching... I'm a BS Biology student and Im eager to know all about Life. That's why I took this course. Anyways, I love this lesson. I'm looking forward for more of your vedios.
Considering a major in Bio to go into medicin. Reviewing it here before I dish out the big bucks. I need to see if I can really commit to learning this for years. Thank-you for posting free quality content.
This video is literally saving my soul in my first biology class! My teacher has us reading straight from the same textbook with no audio lectures to explain things more basically so they are easier to grasp. THANK YOU!!!
My bio professor at the school I currently attend is trash. I was trying to find some way to get better acquainted with biology because it is my major and I need to at least have bio101 down. I am going to be transferring schools after this class so I’m glad I found this.
I come from Hungary, never learned biology in English. I am really surprised how clearly understandable what he’s talking about. I have to do my GE test soon and I want to be a paramedic one day so I’m sure I will need biology. Thank you for your great class.
There are strands of RNA that can fold themselves and behave like proteins, so it's likely the first self-replicating molecules were simple strands of RNA that happened after just the correct kind of chemical reaction happened, and that self-replicating molecule replicated over and over producing some mistakes and after enough time, some of them also produce other proteins as well like maybe some little gell. Just kind of sticks around like moss and doesn't do anything even though it's not a cell wall, it will still protect the cell because it's a partial barrier. A couple of those proteins May have mutations and stuff that causes at 2 then be even better and maybe eventually they evolved in a way that causes it to become a cell wall. Now the chance of them being able to divide with a cell wall is even slimmer so now the next step is try to figure out how to divide correctly because the ones that get to Steph and protective and durable end up not being able to reproduce so only the weak ones can reproduce, and eventually some mutations happen to help the strong ones divide easier and it just goes from there.
Hey, love the lectures and appreciate posting them. Listened to this one around 4 times, I wanted to ask, you said Ribosomes are an Organelle but I thought they were macromolecules made up of RNA and proteins?
They are made up of RNA and proteins, however they still are organelles that produces proteins. They work will other organelles such as the Golgi apparatus and both of the ERs
Would you please tell me what Biology book he is lecturing from. Fascinating lectures I am already on 6 Cell Biology. I have a much better understanding now. Thank you.
I"m gonna be honest, I started watching this because i had to fake that i still have class and didn't get my FAFSA taken away but this video got me intrigued so i wanna stay here :)
47:12 Professor says that during meiosis, genetic material is taken from "two different species." He should have said: "taken from two different organisms of the same species."

Could it be possible that the biosphere is a cell and it's part of a living thing that we don't have understanding off?
I've thought of that before but it's not likely and basically impossible.
