Elton at his best, great vocals, piano 🎹and orchestra🎻. Excellent reaction, thank you Enoma
Been some time since I've heard this. It really is stunning! Thanks for choosing it! ✌
Bernie Taupin was Elton John's lyricist. In this song from the 1976 Blue Moves album, he was describing a difficult relationship he had had. BTW, that's the London Symphony Orchestra playing along. The best lyric is "Why not approach with less defiance
. The man who'd love to see you smile. Who'd love to see you smile...Tonight"...
Beautiful 70s composition 🎡 Enjoyed your pure and wholesome reaction Enoma 🚢 have a wonderful week 💮
Awesome video!! If you want more of Elton here are some: My fathers gun, Amoreena, Captain Fantastic and the Brown dirt cowboy, tiny dancer, levon, your song
I love your insight into the lyrics regarding domestic disputes and violence. There are so many ways these lyrics can be read.
Lyricist Bernie Taupin's relationship with his first wife Maxine had been going sour, with the catalyst being that she was cheating on him with Elton's recently-new bassist, Kenny Passarelli. Most of the lyrics on Blue Moves deal with Bernie's feelings on the subject in one way or another. In fact, there were some lyrics Bernie wrote for the album that were so depressing that Elton had to reject them, because he just couldn't put voice to them.
The core tracks for Blue Moves, the album "Tonight" comes from, were recorded in my own native Toronto, which I'm very proud of, because Blue Moves is, in my opinion, one of Elton's best albums, though it only had one hit single out of the entire double album. It's certainly, as you said, one of his finest albums vocally. In the case of "Tonight", Elton's piano and vocal were recorded in Toronto, while the London Symphony Orchestra was recorded in London, England.
Elton John has many songs casual fans have never heard. I like “Teenage Idol ,, Blues for baby and me,, We all fall in love sometimes,
Great Thanks
I have this album, well CD lol. Another great Song is Crazy Water.
From the time I was like 8-10, in 73-75 until like 2005 Elton John was my Fav. artist. His voice has changed so much after the Songs from the Westcoast Album I kinda moved on to Ryan Adams, who is weird by a talented guy. But, the first 10 years of Elton is better than any group or single artist I know of, the Beatles do not compare IMHO. They are all publicity, no reality when it comes to the best music.
I am glad to see someone who gets it.....
From Blue Moves, 1976.
my top pic in his music songs is Funeral For A Friend / Love Lies Bleeding.
Elton had surgery on his throat after this album and his live voice was never the same. So we had settle for classics like “Can you feel the love tonight” where he lowered his voice to adapt to his new vocal range. He’s had a blessed career.
His surgery was actually 10 years after this.
Mr.Fahrenheit Ej’s surgery 1987 Blue moves album 1976 Can you feel the love tonight 1994 placing the song ‘Can you feel the love tonight” post surgery according to google
@@paulm496 huh?
I don't know if you will read this but do you accept foreign music requests? I meant outside of English speaking music. Like Turkish music for example?
Your reaction videos are "Off the Chain"
Good but I prefer George Michael’s version
Love George Michael and his version, but Elton’s will always be my favorite.
