The pearl clutching over power creep is ridiculous when Sigurd is more powerful.
Lyn is busted, we all know that, but she's gonna need a little help to be even better, you may want to replace her A and C skill, Fatal smoke and Sly Sparrow come to mind, you also want a buddy that negates saviors like the ones show in the video, which most of them are in rotation right now or come back next month, she's gonna be great but some investment is needed to break the celling. i just hope is no another "Eat Glue" unit like E-Ike in his peak.
I'm reminded of F!Edelgard where Y!Innes was always touted as the hard counter but if you gave F!Edelgard +4 defense support from anything (far save, distant guard, drive buffs) then F!Edelgard would win the matchup... Yes, if it's your choice of team against a solo Lyn you'll be fine but that's not what your opponents are coming at you with

I did not even think about how easy you can make a support ball for her and the emblem user while sniping, and wih that in mind the FInish does make sense since she stays with the team Lyn looks kinda simple build on first glance but her kit does work really well together
Im going to test out how Lyn and her ring does in tier 23 land since I stopped caring about getting into vault recently and tier 23 is a mixed landscape of skilled and unskilled players on offense.
Ngl I didn't think she was insane when I saw her even with undefended existing... because I didn't think the AI could use it. The fact AI can use styles is actually just disgusting, it changes things up so much lol. I do think it's funny they still won't let the ai use duo/harmonic skills though
I'll guess its harder to program the CPU to find a good spot to use the duo skill (except for the ninjas)... Style change AI may just be (Scan for targets - yes? Change!)
Not really. Styles are way more impactful on offence than they are on defence so the AI being able to use it barely changes anything. It's disgusting being able to snipe 5 units by turn 3 without even having to move.
Merry Christmas. Funny that you've popped in my algorithm not once, but twice now. The singular HB slot point is valid and not something I considered as a pro to open up other units to exploit 1-range attacks without it, but from what I've seen, HB tends to be on your Far Saver anyway and it's something she'll have to deal with in pretty much every engagement that isn't skirted by [Undefended]. She's a good unit, I'm not at all trying to say she's not, but on her own she's not going to completely upturn the meta the same way the addition of Celica or Sigurd has. The doomposting on how this will completely autowin is a bit much. We've been dealing with crazy threat radiuses for a while now and especially for ranged nukes, we've got plenty of options to weather things. Lyn will be forced to deal with those options, and needs the aforementioned support from B!Embla and F!Maria (or Ymir as a Maria substitute) to have a chance to skirt by them. [Undefended] sniping was already something you may have to consider with Celica or her bearer warp sniping your units like she's Xigbar. I still hold that she's not going to destroy the meta as a lot of the knee jerk reaction have claimed and she won't super change the way one has to craft defenses since we've been dealing with Celica warps for a long while now. Mostly because the solution to her is already usually always run in a comp. Not too much crazy pivoting to the standard gameplan is required.
I'm dreading the day we get emblem Hector and Emblem Sorren, also Emblem Veronica is a thing too and will have an interesting niche where she summons units in combat
So got lucky and pulled her. Decided to test brave Gullvieg with embelem ring. Extra action works and with charge from Hinoka was able to move in and attack after a turret shot. She however was not able to multiple turret shots. The terrain however did spread from the super ranged shot so even if you don't kill you can spread flame tiles from a distance.

But she just opens up some pretty shrewd (or degenerate depending on how you view it) combos and shenanigans. Oh heres my windsweep Lyn with fatal smoke/savage blow w/AoE that i can abuse because of my Lv2 Safety Fence. Here's my Fogado and L!Hinoka w/ fatal smoke. Maybe it doesnt have the universal impact of Celica and Sigurd but for player phase strategies? Yeah shes pretty darn nuts. And we dont know how she fully works on the hands of AI yet and once we figure it out its gonna get even more nuts
why use maria who only works once when the entire gimmick of ymir was to only protect you with miracle at full which was super bad as tanks who get oneshot aren't tanks but now that offensive units can attack from within her range do you get miracle every combat

So turns out Ninja Lucina not as great with Emblem Lyn after a few testing since using her personal assist wont let u use Style. Kinda forgot Style actually buffed Duo Cordelia Duel Strike status since its much more convinient now
got Pekomama (haven't reached 40 pulls yet) so I run winter fomortis as the near savior and fjorm as the far savior, with hardy bearing she could take on Abyssal difficulty Emblem Lyn easily so I guess she'll be fine in AR too
After my Nemesis was able to dominate her in her Abyssal map, I'm not as scared about her anymore. Still going to be cautious about her but at least I know my Nemesis can handle her well enough. Merry Christmas too.

Ai is stupid dont use that as basis players usually don't fall for baits AI's do. In a live PvP your more likely less to bait people than baiting AI who just goes for it cause AI in FEH is terrible and that's me seeing how horrible my auto attacks are in a map where if I play it I don't loose a unit the AI will make bad decisions.

While I like cheating with Vantage and Desperation, playing against it is really annoying too. I don't think I would mind a side grade Hardy Bearing seal that's based on spd that doesn't deny your own Vantage/Desperation effects as the upside if you meet the spd check. Otherwise you need a unit like Lucia, or Lilina, and then a tank with Hardy Bearing to cover yourself in enemy and player phase.

The style can be far saved. Yes, she's mid. Just run a savior unit, base kit Fomortiis with support tanks a supported Lyn for 0 damage. And my support wasn't even defensive, it just gave him stats. Anyone freaking out calling her overpowered either somehow doesn't know how the savior mechanic works yet, or they haven't found out you can savior against Style. All that range means nothing if you're still hitting for damage. Her ring is eons better than she will ever be, and even then, if our units are still currently capable of savior'ing and tanking the current meta, they can continue to do so now. Being attacked 6 tiles away doesn't change that outcome. Is it annoying to require saviors? Yeah. But you could also just use brave felix and warp to her and instantly kill her, because she's a bad unit, so anyone actually running this Lyn is getting punished for existing. The two best saves in the game rn are fuckin red, she's ass. The best UNIT in the game is red, can move twice to initiate, has Celica 90% of the time, and one shots her without a special. She isn't good.

Baldr will have a PRF skill with "Immunity to damage" style every 2-3 turns, while Hodr will powercreep Lyn in some way

She can’t scratch Hector, snake lady, or C.Formortis. She’s really good, but she can’t do a damn thing about DC armors that just refuse to die.
