Rest + Dream Activation at Carson Beach

Department of Public Imagination invites you to collective dreaming, rest, and reflection. Drift away to a live soundscape and installation featuring local musicians + artists at their second annual Dream Portal Rest Activation at Carson Beach.
What if we created space for essential dreamwork and rest in order to honor the past + imagine generative futures?
This event is in remembrance of the Black residents who planned a peaceful demonstration on August 10, 1975 to assert their right to use the beach and imagined a world where all bodies had the right to relaxation at Carson Beach.
Take up space + time for dreaming and stillness. Lay down on the beach, let your mind wander to live music and dream up new worlds with public art installations by local artists.
