Jokic this season so far : 3rd in scoring, 30 points a game. 1st in rebounds, 14.0 a game, 2nd in assists, 11.5 a game, 1st in 3 point percentage. This is historic.

Honestly, as a Black dude, I think it’s necessary. It’s literally racism and being xenophobic. We should call out if the races were switched, due to some wouldn’t have a problem with it if this was LeBron or Ant for example.
Jokic is already an all time great, however, having four MVPS would make his already insane career even better. If he deserves the reward he should get it. It shouldn’t matter because this is a whole new season with an almost different roster. His right hand is very inconsistent and him doing this with the other players should have him as the front runner. I’m fairly confident he most if not all of the MVPs have gone to the right person, you could argue Steve Nash’s second one, and maybe the James Harden vs Russel Westbrook one, but other than that, I feel like it went to the right person.
If they end up giving it to someone else due to “voter fatigue”, a new rule needs to be introduced, saying that should be allowed. Give the MVP to the player that deserves it. Also, so many other people shouldn’t even have a vote, Kendrick, Stephen A for example. Tim Legler should have one (if he doesn’t) and I wouldn’t mind some NBA RUclipsrs getting a vote because a lot of them know the game better than the media.

I've been watching every game of the Nuggets ever since the 2018 season and I've watched the unbelievable stretch of Lebron's dominance from the very beginning; honestly I've never seen a player who is more unselfish and dominant as Jokic. His shot making round the basket, his court vision, the much improved 3 point shooting all these things we all see, are second to none, but the things we overlook in my opinion what makes him so dominant, is his constant screening and involvement even without having the basketball. Another thing that gets overlooked is his defensive awareness. He reads defenses very well, but his rim protection is the only weakness in his game, but that doesn't make someone necessarily a bad defender. Also he never talks down to his teammates and shows great trust even when guys are playing poorly or making critical mistakes. He does sometimes complain a bit too much about refereeing (which I think is logical seeing how physical they allow defenders to be against him, but hey I'm a bit biased perhaps) but that has improved tremendously this season. I never post anything on a media platform normally, just wanted to give my 2 cents in an honest conversation on his greatness.

The problem with Jokic is that his style of basketball will automatically generate him crazy stats, so he’s gonna pretty much be in the mvp convo in every season he plays. The issue comes from how you argue against him, because it turns into pettiness, instead of actually analyzing the value his numbers bring (ie. 10 assist from Jokic are worth more than 10 assist from Westbrook, the same way that a Curry 3 is worth more than a Harden 3; it’s about how they do it, that sort of thing.)

YES HES OVER KD. He can be your best passer scorer and rebounder all at an all time great level. His defense is average. No part of his game has a negative. Just like a prime lebron. This is an American born sport. But we gotta start putting respect on these foreign players names. AAU circuit destroyed our advantage we had. Players overseas work on skill. @@shepardice3775 Giannis has been great as of late...and he's really carried that team to some recent wins...but his stans always underrate Jokic's defense (and he is a bad rim protector) and overrate Giannis'. His defense the past couple of years has been a step below his peak defensive years. As for MVP, his team is going to have to get to winning record first....even Jokic isn't going to win it if the Nuggets took a turn under .500.

The only reason you’re saying Jokic is going to be top 15 or 10 is because he’s potentially going to have 4 or 5 mvps. The reason people have a problem with Jokic winning 3 or more MVPs, is because number 1 his narrative changes every year so that he is in the best position to win MVP while he still has only 1 Championship. Also if he ends up being the 6th seed this year he will be the only Player in history to win 2 mvps as the 6th seed or lower. The MVP is losing its Value.
