Looks like a perfect place to learn how to jump. Not too big and no gaps. Think i'll be dropping in over there soon!

Thank you, it definitely took a few tries to get them just right but they're a load of fun.

I usually hang out on Neversink, I think I need to head across the valley and give this a go, although I'm not sure if my hardtail is up for the task.

The hardtail will be great for A-Line. Some of the downhill trails might be a little challenging, but not impossible!

I went here for the first time today. I was not ready for A-line. Video does not do that drop justice. At least 6 feet. Pushed my bike back up to the fire road to do the easier trail.

Haha yeah that drop kinda sucks, the landing is basically flat. Did you like the rest of the trail?

@@northeastmtb1575 I'm pretty new so it was a bit much for me. I did lower A, but have never done jumps before so not much success. I did some practice on the little table top in the middle of the bowl though, but still need more practice. I did like the trails that I did though and will definitely be going back. Thanks for the video!

Awesome video, and great ride. I got into mountain biking about 2 years ago, and have been motivated to try out many of the trails you've posted. Needless to say I'm completely addicted, and so far I've ridden White Clay/Middle Run, Brandywine (my "home" trail), Wissahicken, Trexler, Glen Park in Stroudsburg, Mountain Creek Bike Park and Allegrippis. Mt Penn is about an hour away (I'm in West Chester) and it's next in the list. Do you belong to any group/club? Keep up the great videos!!

Hey thank you so much! I don't belong to any clubs and I usually ride alone unfortunately, but I do actually have a friend in West Chester I ride with fairly often. If you live in West Chester have you ridden Harmony Hill in Downingtown? I'm glad to hear you're headed to Mt. Penn, the trails there are unreal. Do you mostly do trail riding or do you like downhill / jumping?

NorthEastMTB ... I've been to Harmony, but it was last year so I didn't know about that hidden jump trail u posted. I mostly do trail at Brandywine or White Clay, but as I slowly improve I hope to do more downhill and jumping (saving for a YT or Canyon) I went to Mountain Creek a few weeks ago and this past weekend Allegrippis, which has a few downhill sections (Osprey into Hydro Loop). Ridiculously fun, and like you I typically ride solo. I'm at the age where my friends are starting to have kids, so it's been hard getting them to ride along.
Oh, and it was probably one of your videos, but did you see WC is building an intermediate/expert level jump trail?

Video does not do that drop to the left in the beginning justice. It’s pretty big and scary lol. Though going right may even be more difficult.
I walked that part when I went here...

Yeah the first time I hit that drop I didn't know it was coming and it really took me by surprise, but the right side is definitely more technical. There's an even bigger drop into the bowl at Brandywine Creek State Park if you've ever ridden there.

I am planning to hit up Mt. Penn for the first time. Is there a trail map I can find anywhere? Best place to Park so I can hit A-Line and other trails? Looks like there is a parking lot at the beginning of upper A-Line? It says Angora Road but then also I see it says parking on 3 North 8th Street. Im hoping snow will be melted by Sunday. Any information would be great. Thanks

Josh, strangely I cannot find a trail map online, but if you give me your email I'll send you a picture of the map I took last time I was there. As for parking the best places are the "William Penn Memorial Fire Tower, Skyline Drive, Reading, PA", there is a free parking lot there right at the top of A-Line. You can also park for free at "The Pagoda, Duryea Drive, Reading, PA", which is closer to the bottom of A-Line if you don't want to walk all the way to the top at the end. I have explored only half the park or less, but A-Line and Area 58 (red trail in top left of the map) are my favorites. A-Line as you probably know has some fast drops in the beginning and and awesome jump section at the end. Just look out for the big drop if you go left right after the rock section at the very beginning it kinda comes out of no where. Area 58 is very steep in sections, and be warned there's no easy way to get yourself and your bike back up the mountain once you've rode down it, but it's pretty cool. The Pagoda parking lot is also right next to the Duryea Downhill track if you want to check out some massive gap jumps. Please let me know if you have any other questions, and happy shredding!

NorthEastMTB thanks for the info. I spoke to a local I know from enduro races and he gave me some of the info. Basically exactly what u said. I'd still like the map though if u don't mind...is there a way to direct message you on RUclips rather than putting my email address here haha?
