Hi, if you remember my previous comment, After several days, I have no certainty when my ASUS B650M-E Wi-Fi is coming because it is out of stock. I call my seller and replace the order with this B850M, coupled with the 9700X. Their sister Asrock has a good BIOS, but ASUS is really advanced here. I can set my 6000 XPG to 6400 with 1:1, timing just a little bit lower and still use Auto at all voltage settings. Easily reach 5750 MHz with PBO and clock override with just a little effort. BIOS boot is fast, and BIOS OC training is fast, and the system will go back to default also fast if our OC setting is unreachable. Amazing board..
Might be a good board for a APU build I've been thinking about for my livingroom especially with the 3 m.2 slots. I found a small pc case that's 10.6x8.4x2.6 that might do the trick. Not sure I like the wifi antenna connectors just yet.
Yeah this board is another slot down. EDIT - Asus prioritised the throughput of the Gen 5 NVME with this board, other companies do have the slot higher - depends on the company.
Great on almost everything. Sadly hard pass due to no option for a 4 slot GPU. They put the slot in the 2nd row instead of the top so any big cards will block off the bottom connections on the board. Guess Gigabyte is the only company that actually understands people with MATX still want to use big GPUs.
A lot are 3.5 yeah, I have a TUF 4090 here and that's thick, but I haven't seen many four. You could also use a case like the Lancool 207 that's an MATX form factor but takes full size ATX boards, then you won't have limitations from the board.
@@jordanash For the 5090, Zotac and PNY appear to have 3.5 slots but I wouldn't use those regardless. MSI, ASUS and Gigabyte all show full 4 slot designs currently as the only options. Well other than the ones that have water cooling. So unless you want to compromise on performance with the 2 cheapest brands or manage to get an FE, that board will not be a wise choice if you also want the best GPU available. And that is a shame because literally every other feature on there is great. Love the beefed up power deliver, love the 3 m.2 drives. Also love the rear IO having tons of USB slots. If they could just move that PCI slot up one row it would be perfect.
I guess with those cards length also comes into play then too. I just tried it with the TUF 4090 and there's just enough space with the highest connector on the bottom, it's tight but fits - i.imgur.com/mBfg5JW.png If I recall it's this was around to make sure you can get full throughput from the Gen 5 NVME, whereas **most** of the GPUs tend to not pull the full bandwidth from the PCI lane. Appreciate your comment, I always forget on M-ATX board videos that the slots are lower down, need to make a memo of that for the next one. Could demo a thick card on them too. Should be getting some GB/Aorus boards in soon. EDIT - Aorus are doing some certified SFF GPUs for the 50 series, if you wanted it to match up :)
This board looks solid and is perfect for a new build with the Lian Li Dan A3 case! It has plenty of USB ports in the back and MVME slots.
Agreed!
Nice setup, man.
Yes! The perfect board for the A3-matx
Isn't it!
Exactly what i was waiting for with my A3, i just ordered one!
Nice, did you use my link by chance?
@jordanash I'm in Australia so got it from my local PC retail store
Oh right, I'm surprised they're stocking so fast
Very nice Motherboard and plenty of features..
Sure is!

Nice video, Jordan.
May you please make a review of ASUS TUF Gaming Z890 PRO WIFI?
Thank you! The silver one? I don't know if Asus will have any more samples as they sent out a lot on launch, but I will ask
@@jordanash , the silver one. Thank you!
Roger that, will see what I can do.
I have the x650 model in a Asus ap201 case, great combo. It houses my 7800x3d and 7900xtx.
Sounds good, I think that'll be what I use with this.
Nice - 3 NVME slots!
Handy on a board this size!
What a great review! What is the thickness of the GPU possible?
Thank you! So I tested a TUF 4090 on it and you can still connect things on the bottom, but I'd say three slots to be safe.

Yes good point, that would work well.
Only downside i see the gpu slot is not higher inline with the mounting screw

Price ?

Looks nice but Wifi 6E instead of 7 is a bummer. Same with 2.5 gig LAN instead of 5 gig.
Yes, true

FOUR slot, jeez! I think needing spacing for that is a pretty niche requirement. There are a lot of high power cards that are three or less now.
@@jordanash Several 4090s are 3.5 - 4 slots and it looks like other than the FE, nearly every 5090 will be as well.

Are the goofy "get tuf game tough" and "tuf gaming". optional /removable? if not...I guess the wait continues. I'm sorry they're awful and tacky.
Unfortunately not, no.
