Buying this with the silicon half scales and it'd be like you're in the movie studio looking at set prototypes.
It's funny because it's such a bargain at that price, taking the size and weight into account compared to what this money would typically buy you nowadays in terms of statues or busts. Not to mention how limited it is. My one issue with it is the metallic look, it's not quite there, would be fine on a smaller piece but it looks too artificial for a lifesize. Btw, the mace would be taller than the bust, no joke. The bust is 175cm, the mace is around 181cm (which is my exact height).
I think you should get it and I feel like you might regret not preordering while you have a chance. 99 edition. Do it. Make room for it. It’s that cool.

I emailed my local distributor (sugotoys) asking if they could secure one. Smashed that preorder button when it went up. I have like you said started selling some stuff to streamline in on Lord of the rings (which Sauron is the lord of the rings btw so the base does say hes name basically).

For me, that's why I went with the bulk of all the 1/4 LOTR weta busts and 1/6 statues, as when I think of the LOTR Jackson trilogy I think of and enjoy it as a whole. The production, the movies, the characters, actors, various sets, and landscapes. So when I want to collect for LOTR I feel compelled to want to collect a lot of variety of everything and not just one giant expensive singular piece or character. Versus as I imagine like you were meaning kong and zilla usually are singularly stand alone pieces. Godzilla has so much scale and skin detail that when sculpted and painted even half-decent it makes for an amazing statue and then for a good kong it leans on the sculptor to make the hair convincing which automatically brings the piece to a next level piece of art as many sculptors cheap out when actually sculpting and layering convincing hair. I've my singular kong and zilla pieces but can and will always go for a wider variety of LOTR pieces
