I was told if you use RED hook the fish will look at it as if they are bleeding. I have used a red hook and to me it makes a difference.

We have some good conservation officers in North Alabama. I saw one check a young man bank fishing and he didn't have a fishing license. The officer allowed him to go purchase a license instead of giving him a ticket.
