I have almost similar XC70...and have to say that Sweeds have really made a perfect car which can be used in motorways and offroad both and. I am a Finn and thumb up to Göteborg guys ; )
I have an early model XC70 and can confirm it as a very versatile vehicle, but it looked like the combined power of the Landrover and Volvo pulled the Landrover out of the hole ie:- the Landrover was not a dead weight.
Jo, der kann auch im Gelände etwas leisten, der XC70, ABER niemals die Anhängerkupplung zum Abschleppen benutzen. Dazu ist der Abschlepphaken oder -ring montiert. Die Anhängerkupplung ist für eine derartige Belastung nicht ausgelegt und kann u.U. die Karosserie verziehen. Das Gleiche gilt für alle anderen Fahrzeuge aus. Die Abschleppvorrichtungen sind vom Autobauer an der geeignetsten Position angebracht worden.
Hilft dir nur wenig, wenn man sich nach dem öffnen der Abdeckung für die Abschleppöse die Quertraverse der Ahk anschauen kann. So war das nämlich beim Vorgängermodell des XC gelöst. Zumal die Abschleppöse auch nur für rollendes Material ausgelegt ist.

I have a V70 2002. And a XC70 would be the only car i would swap to, if the V70 will ever break.
