*"Can't believe that this is where it all started from"* I was a really shy kid, really insecure and didn't like to talk about myself a lot. Perhaps that's why both my parents didn't know I could sing. I remained an insecure teenager strict to myself until this day. ...I remember myself being so excited and nervous about this musical event "Melodic Nights" that was about to happen at the end of the school year , just before the summer break. Back then I was only 9, although my father had shown this song to me way before. I was raised with this kind of music. And I was so happy for the choice I made to sing that song, in front of classmates and parents. I wanted it to be perfect. After I got my father's approval , I knew it would be just perfect for me. A month before the event I asked my guitar teacher to show me how to play and sing to it. Struggled a lot indeed, for neither the chords nor the lyrics were familiar to me (English is not my native). So, I had to try a lot for such poetic and deep words. Even if that meant learning them by heart. ...I still remember when the day had come. How terrified I was by the huge crowd gathered in the schoolyard, how anxious and nervous I was when I was reading the lyrics for the last time like a maniac, and when my father consoled me by saying "this, is the start of it. Make the first step one worth keep walking for". I looked at him and nodded. I knew I was the only one who had chosen a foreign song and that's what made it more challenging. My heart almost beating out of my chest when I finally sat on the chair in front of everyone. My hands shaking , almost unable to hold the guitar which was bigger than me back then. My fear had climbed all the way up to my neck ready to choke me when I finally gave in and played the first chord. Still scared, and that was heard in my voice. Then my body loosened up out of the blue, voice got steadier, and I found myself completely lost in it a couple of seconds later. It was more than the timid dream I had back then. I smiled and looked at my parents when it ended. Only them could I see... This song is much more than an adored and truly listenable melody, and some deep and meaningful lyrics. To me it was a lot more. It's all feelings, the shaking the heartbeating. My first step into the music world. So here's me, now 15, coming across this masterpiece millions of songs later. Nothing changed whatsoever. For me at least. Except the fact that I now can't hold back my tears. It's 2:20 A.M and I'm not planning on forgetting tonight. *Thank you, dad.*
Thinking of the innocent victims of the the violence in Israel and Gaza. The misery we cause our brothers and sisters is incomprehensible. I feel that there is a great message in this song but we will never heed it.
Uriah Heep are an English rock band formed in London in 1969. It has had the same lineup since 2013: lead and rhythm guitarst Mick Box, keyboardist Phil Lanzon, lead vocalist Bernie Shaw, drummer Russell Gilbrook and bassist Davey Rimmer. Of the current lineup, Box is the only remaining original member. The band maintains a significant following and performs at arena-sized venues in the Balkans, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Russia and Scandinavia. They have sold over 40 million albums worldwide with over 4 million sales in the U.S,[5] where its best-known songs include "Easy Livin'", "The Wizard", "Sweet Lorraine", and "Stealin'". dank diesem Lied habe ich einige Partys gerettet. da kann man mit singen und mit wippen.
It's quite simple really. It's a story about a man and a woman in black (as the name of the song suggestes). Man asked of woman to give him a power to defeat his enemies whilst woman hated the conflict between people (...reduces men to animal...). She teaches that man about the values and new knowledge indicates that he wants to stay by her forever. However, she leaves at one point and a man tells everyone to seek "lady in the black" and listen to her words carefully. Enjoy.
How would u know that the music industry is dead? U obviously look to the past and not to the present when u look for music. I had the same thoughts when i was a teenager but srsly its not true.
Of course it isn't. It's just that very few worthwhile bands can get through the heavy traffic of easily marketabl;e generic bands. And many good artists actually turn towards sites like bandcamp, bypassing producers and relying on the internet for publicity. Besides, every generation had both awful and awesome music.
Eines der geilsten Lieder überhaupt ! Absolut Zeitlos.
Ja
