This song brings tears , I retired from the road 10 years ago after 35 years because of M.S. taking my ability to walk and use my right arm and I miss the road dearly.
Us young bucks are out here killing it in your memory. I've been trucking for ten years I'm 36 now and there's nothing like hauling 50 tons and dropping a gear and hearing them Jakes rumble I love it.
After 40 + yrs in the saddle, Dr's said a broken neck and back and arthritis have finished me. Ride any more and I'm in a wheelchair. Granddaughter finally made my decision for me. Don't do it grandpa, I need you 😢 I miss it every day. But I've realised that what I was chasing for all those yrs doesn't mean anything compared to this little girl. My happy place was in my Pete. Now it's every second I get to spend with my girls. Making up for lost time doesn't always mean hammer down. Those old enough to remember when we could let em go with sticks to the wall will understand. There's no other feeling like it when the needle goes way out off the chart. But the feeling I get from my girls is more important. Live life. Be proud. Truck on. 🤟😎👍🚛🚛🚛
WHAT an amazing gem of a song! True words of truckers, what they encounter out there, and the people they leave behind! There's an OLD Hank Williams song with the same title! I thought this would be a remake of that; but no, it's an equally amazing song with a like title!

This song nails it for me driving 35 years remember the old days no air ride no ac but enjoyed every bit of it my favorite is T 800 or the w900 still trucking going strong all the way
Amazing video brother. I think too many people forget who Truckers are and what they do. People just don’t understand that their lives would end without Truckers. Everything we take for granted in this life is moved by Truck. If the trucks stop rolling….it’s over. 😢
I rode with my Brother Raymond “DIXIE” was his CB Handle. I can see the lure of driving across the country. He’s probably bee about 70% of cities, towns across this great country. I once quizzed him talking on the phone. I had a Atlas Map of the USA and I would name a town, and he knew where every one was. I didn’t bother with cities, I called out small towns.
Vídeo muito bonito. Meu pai é caminhoneiro aqui no Brasil, tenho muito orgulho dele ser um herói das estradas igual a tantos pelo mundo Ele sempre diz que os caminhoneiros são o motor de uma nação
I love this song... I miss driving on the open road. 9 months ago I got caught driving and 33 thousand pounds over wight without a class A and now I have to wait a year so I can legally drive them rigs .... brothers just keep them wheel a rolling ......
"Lost Highway" They say it's a lost highway They must be right 'Cause I've been driving for years And it's just beyond my sight And I am too far gone to be turning around So I just look ahead and drive I remember the way it always made me feel When David Allen sang "The Ride" It takes you up, it takes you down The road don't end, it just goes around It makes you laugh, it makes you cry It makes you live and die And what I have lost, what I have gained Is all to none, it's still the same I will will drive until I find Until I find that lost highway Many others have traveled this road I try to steer clear Of all the wreckage and the shattered souls Forgotten in the years And the ghosts that walk on the side of the road Say to turn your car around One day, son, you'll be waking with us Searching for what can't be found It takes you up, it takes you down The road don't end, it just goes around It makes you laugh, it makes you cry It makes you live and die And what I have lost, what I have gained Is all to none, it's still the same I will drive until I find Until I find that lost highway What I have lost, what I have gained Is all to none, but still the same I will drive until I find Until I find that lost highway ........... WOW It's not the highway, this song talking about life They say... they must be right And I am too far gone to be turning around That's when I go wrong and sometimes I am too far to be turning to the right way It takes you to live, it takes you to die .. Yes always It makes you laugh, it makes you cry .. always It takes you up, it takes you down .. always Until you find your way. I'm still living on the lost highway .. You know what .. Fuck this life and CHEERS
New to this song. My Papaw trucked for 38 years. Best summers were making runs with him. I plan on trucking when I retire from the army in about 18 months
O que esta música tem que nos fazem entrar numa atmosfera de alegre tristeza numa sintonia de saudosismo sem nem ter vivido muitas das coisas relatadas na canção ? O que é isso, que sensação é esta?
I’m feeling a little homesick.. I live in Chicago but I lived in NC for a couple years and I remember doing a couple road-trips and driving through the beautiful mountains. This is awesome. Thanks so much. And my favorite song on top of that!
I drove 10 years before I tore the meniscus's in both knees, climbing into a trailer for a small piece of pallet. Was my dream since I was 8 years old. YOU CAN LEAVE IT, BUT IT WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU .. (OR ME..).
True. My brother just retired after 34 years on the road. He says he still misses it. But his health prevents him from going back. God bless you sir and thank you
For the world it is a simple task, perhaps of little value or little understood and ignored, but let's think about what it means to get away from everything to feel that melancholy, you move away and disconnect from everything, from your family, your wife, your children and Even yourself, sacrifice your rest, your routine, but also feel that joy, that freedom, the road, nature, the sunset and the sunrise before you, my respects to all those who, without waiting for the recognition of the world, move the logistics and resources on highways around the world.
love this song but cant find it anywhere else like amazon or spotify to add to playlist its only on youtube. any chance it will be released on there . its a really kick ass song love it. ffs...I thought I wanted to do local. But now that I'm local, I don't want to drive truck. It is like all the worst of truckin w/o any of the good stuff. Looking at this....now I feel bad, b/c i'd rather be in a truck for a couple weeks than with the family every night.

Hello there 👋
So very true. I have the highest respect for all the truckers out there.
It definitely fits trucking and only a driver can understand why

We have dudes trying to run light, don't want to get close to 80k
Well that was a seriously bad call, we're supposed to be professionals remember
"Lost Highway"
They say it's a lost highway
They must be right
'Cause I've been driving for years
And it's just beyond my sight
And I am too far gone to be turning around
So I just look ahead and drive
I remember the way it always made me feel
When David Allen sang "The Ride"
It takes you up, it takes you down
The road don't end, it just goes around
It makes you laugh, it makes you cry
It makes you live and die
And what I have lost, what I have gained
Is all to none, it's still the same
I will will drive until I find
Until I find that lost highway
Many others have traveled this road
I try to steer clear
Of all the wreckage and the shattered souls
Forgotten in the years
And the ghosts that walk on the side of the road
Say to turn your car around
One day, son, you'll be waking with us
Searching for what can't be found
It takes you up, it takes you down
The road don't end, it just goes around
It makes you laugh, it makes you cry
It makes you live and die
And what I have lost, what I have gained
Is all to none, it's still the same
I will drive until I find
Until I find that lost highway
What I have lost, what I have gained
Is all to none, but still the same
I will drive until I find
Until I find that lost highway ........... WOW It's not the highway, this song talking about life
They say... they must be right
And I am too far gone to be turning around
That's when I go wrong and sometimes I am too far to be turning to the right way
It takes you to live, it takes you to die .. Yes always
It makes you laugh, it makes you cry .. always
It takes you up, it takes you down .. always
Until you find your way. I'm still living on the lost highway ..
