Hammer a rotor to knock it loose | Toyota Highlander rotor change

Break disk rotors were bad on a 2009 Toyota Highlander. Changed only the rotors for the front. Limited to the tools I had which was ratchet set and jack to lift car. I did not have any special tools to compress the break pistons to allow it to smoothly go back on to the break rotors. I forced it in and it worked.
Rotors from Napa auto parts. Tools used are husky tools.
