Amit looks like a good father, it must be fun to have a stand-up comedian in the house. What he said about doing volunteer work for getting admission in schools in the US is so true. Here in the US, some Indians do volunteer work for admission and once they get admission they are nowhere to be seen.
what you want them to do, clean the clean beaches...we are so astonished by the infra in the US, that we just forget our India soul and get a new one...lol..
True. Not just admission in college but also for employment.
As a part of ongoing research, I was studying some profiles of Indian techies in the USA. I was amused as well as shocked to see people who I had known as rude, sullen faced, unsocial and utterly selfish creatures while in India had suddenly metamorphsised as Florence Nitingales and Mother Teresa's, in the US.
I think they do that to spruce up their profile on linkedin

The maths promotion was out of context. The punchline without the buildup. We expect more from the Tandon’s. May be Amit asked his son to get 2 cubes of ice and soda for his whiskey and then an hour later asked for the same, then asked the son how many cubes of ice and soda bottles he got... then he can link that to real life maths problems 😀
