Hi Steve. Thanks for the video! Do you know if Vu-Meter can be used to align a 1571 drive? If so, which chip/pin would we need to get the head's read signal from?
So, using this device, one still needs an "official" Commodore floppy (like the C1541 demo floppy), right? Also, the device needs a 12VDC PS? And, how to connect the device to the C1541, like pins, etc)?
@@StevesRetroGaming Besides the external PS, the only other thing needed to be connected to the device is that cable that goes to the pin of that IC in the drive, right?
The to buy one is: Velleman Vu-Meter kit K4304 - amzn.to/3i8hp6r
Then google for a TLC071 chip, that is what I used in this video.
Videos on the other software would be great! Never knew much about them!

Awesome! Velleman kits are great.

Yes, I used the 1541 DEMO disk, they are easy to find. It uses an external PS, that I rigged up.

Should I care about half-tracks?
No, I NEVER worry about the 1/2 tracks when I align a 1541.
Neat device! Do you have a link for where to buy it?
Yes, would love to get one but no link :)
