I get bogged down with trying to remove an arbor from a drill chuck. Which pretty much wrap up my night.
Its only a short video, look forward to seeing you on the next one.
I am so excited for the future, I feel like I am one step closer to realising my dreams of making watches.
Never Give Up!

Thanks for the shout-out mate! Glad you like the lap. Happy lapping! 😁
All good Sean! 😁👍🏼
I bought a tin lap from Henrik Korpela as well as a tool for holding parts. Works great! I know the feeling when it seems like you don't get much done but spend a lot of time doing it. Recently I spent the better part of the day preparing a ratchet wheel to for "sun ray" graining. Spent the better part of that making polishing slips. All trial and error, mostly error! Keep pushing!
That’s awesome Douglas! Awesome to hear your works great and you have got your technique down. Hahah yeah, it’s not a good feeling at the time, but later down the track always seem to appreciate the lessons and the time. Thanks Douglas I will keep pushing, it sound like your are too! Yoshhhh! ✊🏼😁
Nice tin lap, good luck with the MT arbor
Thanks Tinker 😁👍🏼
I love your videos. You're living a dream of mine.
Thanks Allen, I hope that you too can be in a position to live it out. Appreciate your support 😁✊🏼
JT= Jacobs taper. It's a long journey of discovery. It took me many decades of learning ( before the internet) but I remember it better if I slowly discover it as I go. Don't be discouraged!!
Thanks Paul, appreciate the knowledge and support.
Did not accomplish anything?!>>> You made a video with great enthusiasm!
Thanks Bartyron, really appreciate that and helps me continue to try to get more work and videos out
Remember that nothing is wasted if you treat everything as experience and store it up. Sometime later it will help you do something better or differently. Even 2+ hours of "wasted" filing got the old arbour out, and you'll be a bit more careful next time you're at the counter!
As always, there's a bunch of us rooting for you and thanks tor taking us along on your journey.
So true. Thanks Russell, appreciate your comment, a lot of positive attitude 😀👍
Nice lap. I am jealous you have Myfords out your way (I am looking into making a dividing attachment like they have for the 7 for my South Bend).
Haha yeah, the problem is getting replacement parts costs an arm and leg for shipping. Ohhh nice man! I’m you can do it man! 👍🏼😁 wish you the best of luck
Dean, you can easily make a tin lap at home.
It melts around 230° so just get yourself a decent mold, silicone cake molds are great.
Hi John, yes I know. But Jack is a good friend who has helped me along the way, so I was supporting him and Sean. Also, made my life a tad easier. 😀
Dean DK Fair enough
always like new tools. Thanks
Haha me to John, just need to put it to good use soon 😁👍🏼
