No, it's like asking a Desert Eagle gun manufacturer if Desert Eagles should be banned. You're right that of course they're going to say no, however, the reason for correcting your analogy is because even if you banned Desert Eagles people could still buy Colt 45s, 38s, 22s...
Bans don't work as the problem of bad owners, both those with bad intent and those who can't/haven't trained/treat their dogs properly.
      The solution is:
Register owners (license powerful dog owners) and make owners liable not only for out of control dangerous dogs but also the damage that dog does (eg murder/manslaughter)
License breeders (make them liable for poorly trained dogs, ie make them liable for dangerously out of control dogs to ensure continued care and training for owners from professional breeders - too many owners don't know how to train/treat their dogs)
      Establish a DNA register

I know we are all different kinds of people in this world who have different preferences. Also in the taste of dogs. But to say that the XLBully is just the same as any other dog race is just ridiculous. You cannot say that a cat is the same thing as a tiger, or that a lizard is the same thing as an aligator. Of course all animals can be trained to a certain degree, but genetics and instincts also play a huge role in the animals behaviour. You just have to look at the statistics of violent dog attacks to see that pitbull-type dogs always score the highest in this regard.

Dogs that are kept in cages like this have the potential to attack when they get spooked or basically when they are let out of their cages or into the street. I’ve seen a guy walking one and the xl bully dog didn’t bark or try to attack me but it was pulling on his lead and dragging the owner around who was a grown man. I’m sure they are lovely dogs most of the time especially with their owners, but they also pose a threat to other people, particularly young kids who are not strong enough to fight off a dog of this size if it suddenly attacked someone. There are dog breeds where the dog poses almost zero threat to humans, as a dog owner, I love my dog because he’s soft and loves meeting new people and other dogs has never bitten anybody, he can be off his lead and he’s totally fine around little children and babies. One because he’s a good breed for a house pet, and two because he has grown up in a loving home, where the calmness of the owners and the family around him have made him a big cuddly softy who only barks when the doorbell goes

If you want to own a dog like this it should be muzzled and leashed in public, zero exceptions or forgiveness, plus heavy fines if caught breaking the rules. If these dogs escape they should be permanently removed. These dogs should need to be registered and fully insured for liability so that when they do attack, the victims actually get something out of the owner. Finally a single incident of aggression should be immediate grounds for the dogs to be euthanized.

It suggests the mothers have aggression issues and keeping them so isolated isn't good for a dogs mental health. Dogs don't need to be humanised and won't ever be comfortable in that world.. They should be trained and respected as our companions and given mental and physical stimulation. Unfortunately the breed is a cross breed from what we could define as a fighting dog so inherent blood lines alone start you in a very tricky direction. That being said all animals and humans are a social product of the environment they exist. So an XL bully in a happy environment with correct training and stimulation is all good. Now put a clown on the end of the lead with 2 legs and a set of pressure surroundings with stress and we're in bother big time. I've trained many dogs and those labeled aggressive. It's all connected pretty much to the environment and training... case in point I have had more issues with cockapoos over last few years because I would suggest a large proportion of cockapoo owners aren't dog people and have purchased a cross breed with working spaniel lines and have no real idea what they need to do to live with anything other than a TEDDY. Now back to the bully, by design they're appreciated or attracted to certain individuals for all the wrong reasons and no matter what your going to do with the breed they will find another cross to abuse and own .. hence a lot are ending up in rescue centers already. Bin that and go find another.. any dog can cause injury to human flesh, but if you look aggressive to start with it's far easier to label and get you banned than a sheep in wolf clothing. Unfortunately I think the breed was created for all the wrong reasons and it will be banned.. The same can not be said for some of the individuals that own dogs generally for the image and aggressive status.. and that's any status dog... I'd happily train any dog. It's the human that's attached to other end of the lead that's the problem

All of my bullys and pittys have been rescued, whether bred to the point of absurdity then tossed like trash, or people who get them and can't control a dog like that for like u said, training stimulation, socialization..it's really sad people have ruined these beautiful dogs. I had Rottweilers as well 3 all rescued they were great dogs, but it took me a long time working with them, training, socialization to have them trust me as well as others. 3 were abuse cases. They lived good lives and such good dogs. But my breed has always been the bullys, I won't own any other dog. Every dog has teeth and any dog can bite. Something also needs to be done about backyard breeders hackers of these dogs. If there were ways to honestly get ahold of backyard breeders and try to keep them from doing so alot of the so called "aggressive " bullys. Pittys would be better off, I know it's a tall order for something like that. When you work in rescue, I am in bully rescue, it's absolutely heartbreaking to see the amount of them slaughtered at shelters. I know we can't rescue them all but most of us will keep trying until one day something will be done about horrible breeders, I could keep going on but it'll take me a week. I also agree that alot of your so called "family" dogs are worse than alot of this beautiful breed. I've watched Goldens go and attack for no reason, same with labs, as well as others, and the littles,? Forget it, they're worse than most big dogs.

@Underman1223 are u being sarcastic? Because my point is everyone thinks all your family dogs would never attack, bite or go after anyone. I was also saying that there are more attacks by these dogs than pittys/bullys. I'd say 99% of dogs that do go after people, act aggressively, go after other animals are due to irresponsible owners. People that don't train them exercise them, love and take care of them. They should not have dogs, or animals period!! I'm truly tired of people blaming the bully breed for everything. The statistics are incorrect, I'm not saying there aren't those issues but it's nowhere near what everyone seems to think. I've been rescuing more than half my life, 15 of those years are pitbull Rescue. People should need to take a class on how to raise a dog, if u don't have experience with a certain breed they need to be thoroughly educated on that breed before getting that dog. People have ruined the pittys, bullys, I'm sorry but that moron that did this video really pissed me off. I will stop because I can go on and on.. BUT I do know alot of what happens is the owners fault.

@@shariquinn7679you've pretty much nailed what I've said to the door here. I think you're correct. I have trained many breeds that are labeled aggressive. I've seen very little aggression in any dogs other than social anxiety brought on by the absolute ineptitude on the owners part. It should be an honor and privilege to share a chapter of your life with a dog and not an entitled throw away gimmick. We could probably go on here for days, but there's a narrative that people want to fill in and justify.. you get a car license to drive a car, you should realistically be licensed to own an animal in public for both your protection and it's so you don't get idiots breeding for easy cash and filling up the rescue centers...a cockapoo is a working cross. A Hungarian viz is a working dog, yet they're popping up all over with anxiety issues, coz guess why, owners like the look but not the work involved..... Border Collies were a classic example years ago. They went stir crazy from mundane domesticity.. and research cocker spaniels. A working dog breed that can have real issues with non working lifestyle and anxiety built ticks.. small dogs, like secret assassins can curl a lip that nobody sees other than the other dog. Everyone needs to be aware of what their dogs are capable of and passing it off as. Eeee he or she's never done that before ain't gonna wash... We can't save every dog kidda but I'm impressed at your effort to do what you can. I'll rescue what I can and work with owners to clear up lines of communication with their dogs.. be good and take care of your rescues ❤

Clearly you've already seen proof of it showing aggression on command and are training this into the dog...So, it's capable.. as you know. The dogs may be of good temperament here but hard to tell in an enclosure. I couldn't help see that they aren't lead trained anyone that wasn't the muscle man would have been pulled along and therefore not controlling the dog.
They look like a good breader and the dogs are calm with people at that point but what about in a busy UK city instead of quiet countryside? Situations dogs aren't used to they will default back to being scared/ defensive/aggressive depending on the breed. Do they chase a bike or a child when the prey drive kicks in if something runs past them and they are powerful so nothing holding them back. A chihuahua can be badly bread an agressive but it's not going to do that much damage or escape the handler as easy.
As they are popular lots of people will breed for the money and see without properly training them so that means the prey drive has nothing at all to control it but probably has been re-enforced and as a breed they lock on after that so no hope.

If a bully is gotten as a puppy and the owner is responsible and will train and socialize that pup, and keep the training up for them the dogs can adapt to living situations. If you get an older one obviously you don't know how the dog will react but that's with any dog. That's why people need to research the hell out of any breed of dog they are wanting,

    • @harmony1307
      @harmony1307 Год назад +2

@@shariquinn7679 I agree that lots of dogs have the potential to be trained poorly and end up having a issues. That however wasn't my main point. Such a large dog, as you could see when the man was walking them, is more likely to cause injury as a handler does not have the power to stop them if they lunge. If people like the dogs so much get a smaller bully.
It's the combination of size with the potential ferocity. Yeah as you say any dog may have 'bad behaviour' as an issue but some breeds have more tendency to snapping and fighting and the bully is part pitbull that was trained to fight and already on the list as they do have this tendency. People made the breeds, people breed these traits and sadly when dog fighting was a 'sport' 🤮 people wanted dogs that had that bite and that's in there history. They aren't all bad but the combination of size and prey/attack traits has already cost lives. If the ban comes in it means in future when someone is thinking about getting a dog they get a different breed. They have a dog and less people die/have injuries.

@harmony1307 the only thing I will agree on is that her bullys are BIG, and from the looks of it she wouldn't be able to control the dogs. She's struggling in the video as everyone sees, she's also worrying about the dog hair on her instead of what's most important, watching her dog, keeping an eye on her dog, I've got a 110 pound XL Bully she's 8 yrs old now and has cancer, she's never been a hard-core puller ,or one to ever act up or act out, she's always been a pretty mellow girl. She outweighs me by about 5 pounds. She is very strong ,and I have gotten pulled by her maybe twice in her life. And that was in the snow, she just wanted to go...having a blast needless to say I went skiing 🤣😄 but seriously I know all about the breed I've had them most of my life..Bullys/pittys are the only dogs I will own. I've had 3 huge German Rottweilers and absolutely loved them, but my preference is the bullys. Yes unfortunately shit people have ruined this beautiful breed, playing God with genetics, line breeding, (in bred) trying to make bigger, badder dogs. Just like they've ruined the beautiful pitty by doing that micro bullshit, that horrible toad line so called exotic bullys,? Have u ever seen those? They're bred so poorly they can barely breathe, walk, its sickening..more than 90% of the bullys are great dogs, I've never seen one ever just all of a sudden snap, I work in rescue and 15 plus yrs with pitbull/Bully Rescue..I've been around some horribly abused dogs, the ones people have ruined, they're some of the most resilient dogs. Banning a breed does nothing to solve the issue. Because once that happens they're on to the next breed. Rottweilers, Bullmastiffs, etc.. BANNING A BREED takes responsible owners dogs away from them, or makes them look like monsters because they have to be muzzled which is bullshit. The monsters are at the other end of the leash,

    Not the reality .
I rescued two from the street that had escaped breeder.( if I knew he was a breeder I would have kept them) .
At first I was terrified of these two giants I had never seen one before but I could not see them killed on a busy high speed road .
The entered my garden I opened the door and called them.
They charged into my house ,I put them in a room and put my cat and Jack Russell somewhere safe.
I was still very nervous about these dogs .
I got them to the safety of my back garden .
Then phoned the police and said I had two giant killer dogs .
By the time the police arrived they had eaten about four kilos of dog food plus my mop bucket .
They were so excited to be free.
I decided to go into the garden.
After they had eaten ,I took some more food.
Then I realised that they were two of the softest sweetest dogs you could ever meet, very affectionate.
By the time the police arrived and asked if they are dangerous I had to admit that they were two softies .
The police approached them with their hands near their gun .
I walked straight up to the dogs then the police scanned them for the chip .
Hours later the owner arrived and bundled them in to a van.
After being terrified initially I was actually sad to see them go.
My Jack Russell although adorable can be a vicious and dangerous dog .
I had never seen one of these dogs or knew their name ( breed) prior to this .
Not suitable for a small house and need a large garden.
Maybe not a ban but minimum requirements for ownership ,such as suitable premises and the owners need vetting ,more for the dogs welfare .

Anyone who wants to own a large, strong hunting or fighting breed should be required to take and pass a course, showing they are capable of owning one and understand the responsibility and issues it comes with and then obtain a license-to-own. This should involve mandatory formal dog training for the dog they buy. Then register the dogs - maybe with yearly certifications required. If someone really loves the breed and thinks they add so much to their life that they absolutely need/want one, they should be willing to do the work. Otherwise get a sporting or guardian breed that doesn't have the natural instincts. All breeds were created to do something. Some breeds were specifically created to hunt large game, fight, defend etc. These dogs know how to do this naturally in the same way that herding breeds instinctively have that herding instinct that can be honed and shaped and how retrievers have the instinct to retrieve.

It's my understanding that he came to feel keen remorse. And, I'm guessing, if you asked him about Hiroshima he'd not say, "Well, I don't know about that. All I can say is my bombs are harmless." Then again, he wasn't inherently evil. He was just an inventor who invented something really destructive before wishing he hadn't.
