I think the devs planned on having a longer story originally so I'm sure that's why Ch. 6 is kind of like that. I maxed out Rock Solid right away and I felt like it was a cool parry to have. If you didn't really use it and ran Cloud Step, try Rock Solid out.

Game Science is a Chinese studio that makes stories about things it knows and experiences, and so it did. If a customer wants to play a game based on Chinese mythology, they’ll play BMWK. If a customer wants to play to be an assassin, they’ll play Assassin’s Creed. And we’ll appreciate that because they stay true to what they are. Now, I mentioned that I live in China mostly because I understand why IGN might have thought they were onto something. The game developers mentioned that they didn’t care much about appeasing women because their user base is 90% + male, which caused an uproar in the Chinese gaming community. If IGN had stuck with that story strictly, then maybe they wouldn’t have come off as haters, or perhaps if the BMWK were shit, their story would’ve worked. But they tried to be clever, and it backfired. Despite all this, it’s better to remember that these corporations are not our friends. They can all be shitty. So it’s best to enjoy what we enjoy and take everything with a grain of salt

IGN killing their reputation would require them to have a reputation in the first place. The mistranslations were intentional cause even a student with only a basic understanding of Chinese could tell you that was bullshit. Congratulations to IGN, ScreenRant, the Gamer, and others like them for how beautifully they caused a Streisand Effect and propelled Wukong to the top even faster, breaking record after record along the way.

I’m a black African living in China. I think forced diversity sucks and that a lot of these issues with modern media are a result of lazy writers and not-so-diverse individuals pulling the strings. I say not so diverse because they can be black, white, gay, non-binary, you name it - but they all think the same, and hence, the product ends up only catering to people who think like them. Game Science is a Chinese studio that makes stories about things it knows and experiences, and so it did. If a customer wants to play a game based on Chinese mythology, they’ll play BMWK. If a customer wants to play to be an assassin, they’ll play Assassin’s Creed. And we’ll appreciate that because they stay true to what they are.
Now, I mentioned that I live in China mostly because I understand why IGN might have thought they were onto something. The game developers mentioned that they didn’t care much about appeasing women because their user base is 90% + male, which caused an uproar in the Chinese gaming community. If IGN had stuck with that story strictly, then maybe they wouldn’t have come off as haters, or perhaps if the BMWK were shit, their story would’ve worked. But they tried to be clever, and it backfired. Despite all this, it’s better to remember that these corporations are not our friends. They can all be shitty. So it’s best to enjoy what we enjoy and take everything with a grain of salt

Black Mtyh: Wukong its not perfect game, there is some problem like camera and invisible game. But i'm okay with it, the story is simple and easy to be understand (especially if you know Journey to The West). And if its about diversity and representation, a think Wukong has another level diversity and representation. stone, plant, fungsi, bones, bugs, cart etc they already in the game. its not limited from human species

Making someone sound bad with translation is suprisingly easy for example I am from Hungary and if I said my woman blood is at home you would probably think I am a psychopath in reality woman blood means sister when translated normaly so what I actualy said was my sister is at home
