This is so good ! Loving the vocals
Music is vintage Saukkonen, growling is great, but the clean vocals are bad.
I'm not sure what it is, but it seems that the pitch of Paavo's voice does not gel together well with this style of music.
This could be an issue with the recording equipment or setup or maybe the mixing, and not necessarily an organic issue with Paavo's voice.

He just sounds like a poor man's version of Lars. After getting Mikko for Dawn of Solace I figured Tuomas knew how to find excellent vocalists.
@@brianmcevoy1990 I don't want to knock Paavo, he's a nice guy. I liked him on The voice on Finland. But here, he just doesn't sound right, the clear vocals don't match the music. It could be the recording studio's fault.
and yeah, if you compare these vocals with Mikko or Lars, I mean... it's really lackluster, let's put it like that.
His vocals don't sound very processed. Its a very dry sound with minimal effects that don't gel with the mix, I think his vocals are just mixed poorly.

I like pretty much all of your projects Tuomas, but you should have let the name of Before the Dawn out of this project. This material is probably your weakest and least inspired music ive heard and the vocalist isn't pretty mediocre.
