Learning and reinforcing pentatonic scales is boring but not now I have discovered this. Thank you so much. And its fun!!!
Don’t know why I haven’t used these after a couple years of playing! Thanks a lot!! Trying to extend my knowledge and playing ability!
Takes a lot of dull out of learning A minor pentatonic positions by a lot. Thanks!
This has really helped my progress as it’s made practicing scales fun! Thanks so much.
Thank you i never thought i could play solo, I’m a beginner learning the pentatonic scales🙏🤟
Anyone can. Keep going it's worth the work and blood sweat and tears. Don't ever give up!! Even the great EVH sucked at some point!! Every single ONE of them, all had to do EXACTLY what we are doing except they were OBSESSED, almost in an unhealthy way but healthy at the same time because it's what they live and love.
That doesn't mean YOUR goals have to be to be a virtuoso tho. Maybe they are, who knows, but if you really want to, you CAN do it. Promise!
Nothing worth having EVER comes easy!! Remember that!
@@johnbraucher1499 I love you man!
Just what I needed to make practicing the scale more fun and great sounding! Thanks!
Thanks^^
can you please share your plays?

Sounds nice, I will have to find out how that works though......... NO idea what I'm looking at! :-D
The black dots are the position of all the notes you can play which will sound nice over the backing track.. 3f 5f etc are third fret 5th fret etc. The dots with the R in are the root notes (a in this case) so all the dots with an R are the note A.
The black notes are notes within the pentatonic scale (a minor) on fretboard
So “R” stands for the “root note” which is, in this case, “Am” or “A minor”
“F” i.e “3F” “5F” stands for “fret” so fifth fret etc.
The dots show the scales, which basically sound nice when you play them after each other in some form of order (like a solo or a lead riff)
My advice would be to learn the A minor scale (the dots on the video), memorise it then you can literally solo and/or improv a riff to this sound in the background🤯🤯
I recently learnt this and it’s so much fun which is why I hoped this helped👍🤟
learn guitar
Great. Thanks. I start again.
Greetings from Germany
gives me the thrill is gone vibes!
Thank you. I just started recently and I was looking for some backing track to practice pentatonic scales but your riff video and this made it even more fun!

QUE DELICIA DE VER ISSO aprender guitarra é muito divertido
Could one get a slower bpm for soloing in pentatonic Am
you can eventually slow the speed of the video, it doesn't sound extremely good, but it's slower ^^
can anyone explain at the 4:47 mark what is the 9-7-5 L P how do i do that, my teacher tried to explain but he doesn't take time to slowly explain
here is explanation ~ ruclips.net/video/MiQfV5qK4-E/видео.html go to 6:14

Whtas the chord progression..? just am and dm?
Sorry, what is this graph all about, I don't have the slightest idea of what it is? I just saw the "Rs" all over the fret board . Can somebody care to explain. Thanks
That is your root note. You need to learn the A minor pentatonic scale, then this will make a lot more sense.
What does the R mean
I think it might be the Am root note
R = Root of Scale
What is R on the tabs? -beginner
R is Root of Scale
what does R means?
R means Root(first note of scale)
what the meaning of “R” ?
Root= first Note Of Scale
Anyone know what chords are used in the backing progression?
Chord Progression ; Am / / / /Dm / /Am / / Fmaj7 / E7 / Am / //
Sorry but this isnt minor penta. its harmonic minor.. thrill is gone progression
yes you are right! but you can play with harmonic minor scale , also you can play minor pentatonic both
@@LearningGuitar123 the b7 will sound bad over the 3 in the E chord
@@AllenVanWert you are right! but G is #9 (Altered tension), even b.b king and other blues players play g note over E7 Chord. when you hold g note long . sound 's bad, but if you play shortly, or play in upbeat . sound is fine. music is timing. so you can play both~
