The silver glassbox chrono is incredibly attractive. One factor to consider is that, if you're willing to shop around a bit, you can find most TAG watches at a 20-25% discount, while Tudors are usually not that heavily discounted.
Brad, you totally remembered my dude! I really appreciate the comparison video! This is one of the many reasons why you are one of my go-to watch channels out there. Unfortunately, you have now made it so that both of these pieces are on my purchase list. lol. Now the question is... which one do I get next? It may just come down to the fact that I have a few chronographs in my collection, but no GMTs as of yet. I love the lug angle on the Carrera like you said. I need to try on the BB58 GMT, but like I had mentioned, it's always sold out when I go to the local dealers. Again, thank you so much for the comparison video. It's so nice to see content creators interact and listen to the fans. Keep up the solid grade A content my friend!
hey, i cross-shopped these two the week of W&W24 and went with the Glassbox because i didn't have a chrono in the collection at the time. i'm wearing it as i type this out and 100% stand behind my decision. it is a looker and a conversation starter, even with people who don't know shit about watches, or why they would ever own anything other than an apple watch. the silver dial is luminescent in person and catches everyone's eye. my only nit is that the date window is tiny compared to almost everything else on the market. that all being said, i still greatly desire the BB58 GMT for it's vintage look, flyer-gmt functionality and the new METAS movement, and will most likely pick one up in Q125. if you need a GMT and like the look of the tudor, i don't think you could go wrong. if spending a bit less is desirable, i would seriously consider the longines spirit zulu time gmt in 39mm. the black-faced one on an SS bracelet is $3150, COSC cert'd and a flyer just like the tudor. tag does have the new aquaracer COSC GMT, but it's a caller and of little interest to those who travel frequently and want to reposition that hour hand without stopping the movement.
@@akediord Thank you for your detailed response! My number one consideration is wearability since I would like to have both pieces in my collection. Another thing I was considering is that I don't have a GMT in my collection as of yet. The T-fit clasp is amazing. I've tried it on another Tudor and it's fantastic! If the Tag had that, it would be less of a consideration. But I think I'm going with Glassbox first. I'll try to decide some time this week. I appreciate your input, friend.
I own a Tag Heuer Glassbox 39mm in the black dial and I also have a Tudor BB Pro and held the new Tudor BB GMT. Just my opinion but dollar for dollar, the Tudor all day long. Amazing value for dollar and METAS Certified. I was quite honestly disappointed with my TAG Glassbox. Not all that accurate right from the factory and the build quality is simply not there in my opinion when compared to the Tudor. The Tag is also about $1500 more expensive than the Tudor. I do not think the resale will be there for the Tag either like it will be for the Tudor.
Hi Brad, are you seriously suggesting that we pick one of these over the other? I want them both frankly. I like the functionality of the Tudor but the Carrera chronos are SO gorgeous... I would buy the Tudor and put the Tag on my Christmas list... Have a good weekend, cheers, Bob 🍻
Idk if I'll ever buy a TAG, but that silver dial Carrera is a mighty fine looker 👀. IMO both timepieces exuberate quality and prestige.
Glassbox is just perfect. Do like the tudor, but glassbox all 3 are beauties
I’ve been loving Carrera since they got that glassbox! Hope to snag one someday

Unless you go slightly pre-owned.

Always happy to help out when inventory permits. Can't go wrong with either of these and I honestly think both fit well into a collection.

My 2 fav watches released this year. Aside from the 41. Black aqua terra
Apples and Oranges, but I like the Carrera (or might go with the Skipper if I were headed in that direction).
Best watch channel on the Toob.
Always appreciate you viewing!
Tfit and lume are a must. Tudor would be my choice
Love both but if I choose that Carrera is the winner

They could easily both co exist within a collection!
I wonder if the Tudor BB58 GMT bracelet can go on the BB58 Blue dial
Haven't tried that yet but when inventory cooperates again can check.
Carrera
Tag chrono not even close
