How do they not have dark brown? It's not exactly an unusual color.
Perfect …..I’ve ordered a couple as gifts and they were beautiful and recipients loved them 😎although for the money we shouldn’t have to pay extra for sneak peek

It took 3 weeks before it was even approved? That’s INSANE! Usually they approve within a week.
I thought of ordering from there but I ordered from Cuddle Clones instead. They did great on my cocker spaniel. I ordered another one of my Jack Russell that just passed away. I hope they got her markings right and her tail because I didn't see an option for a docked tail. Anyways thanks for the review.

I thank you lots! But there’s no reason to get that dark chocolate brown wrong. All they had to do is mix custom colors and they should for that price.

The pricetag for a 100% custom artwork there is actually quite reasonable. I implore you to consider the pricetag based on work hours, rather than end-product as a stuffed animal.
I am also somebody who sells custom pattern plush on commission (typically of people's original cartoon characters) and the time, effort, and detailing that goes into an individualised piece is typically 20 ~ 100+ hours depending upon complexity. $200 for a 20 hour work is only about $10ph. This does not factor in sick leave, holiday, or superannuation contributions either.
I hope this helps you understand the cost pricing a bit more!
My criticism wasn't with the pricing alone, it was that I spend $200 and they didn't match my dog's fur color. I said in the beginning of the process that it wasn't black, it was dark brown and then I told them again when they emailed me pictures of fur swatches. Plus they do not offer refunds or returns.
Also, they aren't a small company. When you sit on their site there are purchases being made every few seconds. You can even see that in my video when I'm on their site. So unless those sales are fake (which means they are misleading potential customers) I think they can afford to get one solid color of fur right.
@@TPow I agree with you! Have you asked them why there was a problem with fur color? It seems they work with care but that confused me too, the issue with fur color.
After giving some more thought, is it possible Petsies could've air-brushed color on Peanuts' fur? Sort of like brown highlights, adding some authenticity to the black color of her fur? Just a thought ~ and I know it's almost three years later and a bit late for suggestions!!
hi, hows the long fur holding up, i have a shih tzu mix pomeranian which is also long haired, wish to know how good the quality is after so long, or it will fall off eventually?
Are they hard stuffed or flexible? Can you cuddle it or are they super stiff?

How long did the delivery take from the email they sent to let you know it’s done to when you actually receive it.
From the final “quality control” email to actually receiving them it was 15 days. I did receive a shipping confirmation just two days before they were delivered so they shipped fast.

I don't know why this came up in my feed but I watched it and I think they should have used the airbrush to make the black fur dark brown. They should take it back and carefully make the hair color correct with an airbrush. Just some dark brown highlights would fix it. 🤷♂️

How soft and squishy are the petsies? Like are they stiff or are they huggable and soft?
They are definitely on the stiffer side. I wouldn’t call them squishy at all.

Really timely! I just discovered Petsies last week and was impressed, though I think they're better with dog plushies than with cats. I'm interested in a replica of our late, white Persian kitty "Calla", been hunting for the purr-fect animal replica makers! Love that Petsies is American-based and their artists have a 3-4 month training period. Thank you, T Pow, for giving your insights and experience using Petsies. When I can finally afford I just might use 'em!

Yes 😂 I might’ve sounded a little emotional because a lot of people buy Petsies of pets that have passed and nobody likes thinking about that.
Thanks for your video. I was about to finalize my order from cuddleclones but then i decided to look at some of their final products and they look less realistic than petsies. now i might give petsies a try. 🐕

I just got mine the other day and I’m a little disappointed, while it does look a like my dog but there’s parts they got wrong and the fur on it for some reason feel dry, hard and a bit rough in some spots for reason

Why didn't you just tell them you have a BLACK Pomeranian with sun-bleached fur???? That way they would know what you were talking about. They contacted you with color issues on Peanut because they can easily see that you have a BLACK Pomeranian...Not a CHOCOLATE one. That's why they couldn't understand why you kept insisting on the dog being Brown. Had you told them she's a sun-bleached black, they would airbrush reddish highlights all over the topside of the dog giving it the correct hue.
I paid £240 to cuddle clone and received some stuffed toy which doesn't look like my dog at all
I think cuddle clones are better. The plushies are more realistic.

I bought a so called clone of my dog from " cuddle clone" what I got was nothing like my dog !! I paid £240 for something I could bought in a toy shop for £20 it would had been a better match !! After endless mails and messages I filed a complain with my credit card and reversed my money. Still lost £50 duty and tax I had to pay !! I really want a clone of my dog ,would petsies be better ???
Are Petsies soft and cuddly or are they stiff? I can’t find an answer for this anywhere.
