Lee Jung letting ruka to take the lead to their dance practice and how she praises her every single time about her dancing skills speaks a lot. Some people disrespects her position as the main dancer in the group, but as a dancer myself (not pro, but I have good eyes with dancers) she deserves the position that even the editors consider her as the dance genius in the group. Her control in her strength, and movements, the attitude, the preciseness, the details, everything in her dance movements is just so good. The experience plays a big role to what she become now. Some Japanese people are just such great dancers, and Ruka and Asa are one of them.
Ruka as center in opening and closing of their dance performance is so powerful.
In terms of talent and skills, BabyMonster doesn’t lack behind at any point, And they’re so young, they still have a lot of time to improve themselves even more. Nowadays when kpop is starting to become more about visuals over talent, BabyMonster is one of those groups that really stand out in terms of their live performance skills ❤
hehe lucky you...you already know the 7 debuted....imagine what we had to go through following this as it was happening....we really were worried at that time...and YG was really serious on debuting 5 members....but us fans rallied and made enough noise for him to notice...hehehe

Agreed that 5 was always a High possibility. Pharita and Chiquita was added much later than the already selected 5 who we saw did the 5 member group hip hop dance in their introductions. Lisa built a mega Thailand Market for YG. YG wanted Thai members and the last evaluations was to decide who to eliminate. The girls group performances would have convinced him to run with OT7. I was also convinced that all 7 must debut only after the group performances.
One thing about Yg artists is that they never sound like they’re covering a song!! They just make the song like their own, they blend their own colors and shine as well 😍✨
I like how they gave them the chance to organize themselves at their own, they could show their own colors like that. I love that Ruka Asa’s back and forth rap, The vocal line is just phenomenal. They’re truly the monster rookies of 5th gen, best live performers 🔥🔥
They are all super talented in one or two areas each. But Ahyeon is just ridiculous. How can she be that good at rapping, singing, dancing, stage presence, and leading/giving advice when needed, all at 16 years old? She makes everything look so easy.
That mashup dance was the one that hooked my husband. He is now streaming all their songs including those in their evaluation and 2NE1 because he said there is not enough to go around.

Being a YG trainee is actually really hard, and a privilege at the same time and for what I know about YG training process yes they look for the most talented but one thing that people don't really realize that YG also is looking for the right attitude and mindset on a trainee therr so many trainee that arr very good for what I know and didn't make a cut cuz of they don't have the right attitude to be a debut in a YG group its not just talent its also the personality and that's what I know for YG training process. Thats why after all this when they debut they are very much ready for everything.
Way more than 100 times I see this & still get me ...will always get me that hard..every single time I see this...& this is what really make us all love & apreciate this group. They are simply MAGICAL & TALENTED & VERSATILE. ONCE IN A LIFETIME!

Now you know why we are so rooting for these girls, BM has a strong fan base since the beginning and it's not just coincidence, but we truly love them and support them since day one YG introduced. You are lucky cause you can watched these video all in one, but to us, YG only released these evaluation once a week, our heart is pumping hard cause we don't know what happened next, and we all want OT7. Thank you for supporting BM ! Even they already debuted , you still deep dive their previous contents. Respect !!

@@genesisbourbon1234 it's easy to remember things wrong tho. . .many times when talking about how long they were trainees they didnt give clear answers just an estimate of years. However, for a precise answer everyone is able to look up the date of their auditions/first evaluations and calculate the time between then and Batter Up or Sheesh in Ahyeon's case.

YG has been eliminating trainees in almost every monthly evaluation. It doesn't mean much to him. He just wanted the best as his squad to compete in the kpop world.

@@dalgomie6011 Then why did the fans find it so hard to accept a 5 member BM? Even BP started with 9 trainees towards the end and ended with 4. Miyeon is one of them. I am sure all the eliminated trainees were also extremely skillful.
@@ignatiuschua5268 the conditions are different. blackpink debuted without any introduction like YG did with baby monster. So people only know that there are 4 BP members, while those who failed to debut were discovered after Blackpink debuted. In contrast to Baemon, since the beginning YG has introduced the profiles of the 7 members, it would be very unfair if the faces of the members had been published but apparently some of them did not make their debut. Obviously it was just a gimmick created by YG. In fact, Baemon will debut with 7 members, not 5 members. it's just a YG drama.

failed during the evaluation process. but because she was involved in a dating scandal, and YG doesn't allow his trainees to date. I think you know that rumor...
@@dalgomie6011 Yes, I am aware of that rumour. I didn't mention it because it is a rumour and not a verifiable fact.
Seeing how much efforts and hard work all of them put in these evaluations, they definitely deserved to debut as 7 members, No doubt each of them has one the best skills in the industry, All 7 of them together is what makes them such a powerful group.
The difference between dance of YG & other companies is that YG grps will not have very complicated moves but they will have big moves which uses full arm extensions so that any dance floor or stage will be completely filled by the moves & now there are 7 of them now & each of their performance are literally like concerts. Truly BabyMonster

Whenever I rewatch Last Evaluation, I find it amusing how much nicer Yang Hyunsuk is to them compared to all other older yg artists. But then I remember it's because they're around the same age as his kids so he's much nicer.

I just love seeing Ruka in that last line up. You can just see how small she is. Total badass on stage but actually tiny with a cute personality.

Recommend the next reacct should be 'Jennie from the block' dance performance. It was a kind of special group performance show released after the final line-up has announcced, a day or two after 'Dream' pre-debut song released.
If I only had to choose 5 of them to debut i will choose
1) Ruka
2) Pharita
3) Asa
4) Ahyeon
5) Rami
The reason I didn’t choose rora and Chiquita because they are still very young and YG can easily debut them in his next girl group after 5 or 7 years from now.
But BABY MONSTER withour Rora & Chiquita is just a monster.. Because they "baby" is both ot them.. The maknae line
Almost everybody knew that it would be all 7 members. The whole marketing campaign would've been set up differently if elimination really was a possibility. But the way they officially introduced Babymonster to the world, it was pretty clear, that all 7 would debut. Of course it is possible that the original intention (at the time of filming the first episodes of Last Evaluation) really was to debut a 5-member group (that number makes a lot of sense) and YG changed his mind during the filming. But that was long before the first official announcement, so the fans never had any influence on that decision. Still great strategy to keep the tension high until the very last possible moment. In the end its YG and we never know for 100% sure what will happen. Also very successful marketing campaign. Babymonster already gained a huge and fiercely loyal fan base (for all 7 members) before even have released one single song.
If I HAD TO choose (because somebody would force me to), back than I speculated: At least one Korean, one Japanese and one Thai member with at least two strong rappers and two strong vocalists. For the Korean member the most likely first pick for me was Ahyeon (because "leader", "center" and "ace"). For the Japanese member I assumed Ruka as first pick (because "oldest" and "most YG / HipHop"). For the Thai member I assumed Chiquita as first pick (because of "Mini Lisa", "most raw talent"). So we already have one rapper, one vocalist and one member who can fill both roles. For the last two I would assume another Korean member as fourth pick and either the remaining Japanese or Thai member for the fifth pick. I would've added a powerful vocalist like Haram as fourth pick (even though Rora is my personal favorite) and Asa as strong rapper / dancer (and possible another ace) for the final pick. So Rora and Pharita would've been cut in my thought experiment (but of course kept within YG for later debut). But it was really hard to find any reasoning to cut anybody from this group. They're all equally skilled and bring their own very unique flair and style to the group. I was very sure, that all 7 would made it into the group anyways.
