- Season Challenges are being improved for the Silver and Gold Pass! The next Clash of Clans update will bring a New Gold Pass which includes the Prospector, allowing you to convert Ore! Judo Sloth Gaming explains the new Season Challenges and how you will progress through the Season Track. There will be Chests on the Silver Pass, and the Hoggy Bank will now allow more loot depending on your Town Hall. Equally you can now choose Magic Items and donate to yourself with the 1 Gem Boost. Ultimately this overhaul improves the Pass for all players and brings more value to people purchasing the Gold Pass. This will come into effect for the March Season. Clash On!

Now they just need to add a queue system for upgrading buildings. Kinda like the old queue system for training troops only for upgrading buildings as long as the player has enough resources.

So let me get this straight, it takes longer for me to get 20% boost and there is now a mechanical feature stuck behind a paywall. Guess im going f2p till they figure out how to not be greedy
"the gold pass has been improved" Is a wild opening given that we lose out on average boosts, have to "gamble" for rewards from chests and gain a feature that isn't good at all (unless you're already finished with all common equips)
The chests have nothing to do with the gold pass... and they're way better than the potions.

That's what I was thinking. This feels worse, losing more time on boosts and gambling for something useful, or worse. And a prospector that gets you one measly starry ore a day, for like the last week of the month. Terrible.

As someone that’s a P2W I thought the whole point of adding the ores helper guy was to help out the F2P players. Not making it for paid players and benefiting them more 🤦🏻

Yeah they're being greedy. Since they decided to make a helper pay walled, they had to nerf the gold pass. For them it's either progression or equipments, you can't have both apparently.

I used to buy the Gold Pass only for the builder boost. Now, to get the 20% builder boost, we have to wait 12 days instead of 7. Next month I was planning to upgrade my TH and buy the Gold Pass to progress faster and finish important buildings quickly, but now I don’t think it’s worth buying the Gold Pass anymore.

This looks like such a net negative. The important rewards are now available for less time (the boosts and prospector) bc more engaged players dont have a way to finish a bunch of quests fast to get more out of what they paid for. I heard from BD's channel the prospector is only available after 21 days. I also think the new helper being a subscription is very bad. I dont think anyone is getting converted to a spending player if they dont already buy the pass and this will do more damage to their reputation than good to their bottom line. I hope it feels better than it looks.

People are joking about getting clan house decorations but this is literally getting nothing. I really hope that they can do something about that now when they removed items from the pass to chests
Maybe you can just get “Resources” in the chest and then choose between normal, builder ore capital like in the new silver/gold pass 🧐
@0dd2002 They had to make a "wish" mechanic like Genshin where if you collect 10 (or 20) epic or legendary chests anytime the next chest will get you the thing you wanted. For example it can be a Hammer, but those could also be randomized (a random hammer). So in that way you are loosing a good reward but at the same time you are not worried ab getting "nothing" bc you will be farming something potentially neeed and more in maxed th.
getting clan decoration is a good thing, you purge out everything in that pool and you have a higher chance of getting better stuff in the future.

Judo, you failed to notice the biggest issue... The builder and research boosts now take much much longer to activate - nerfing probably the biggest use the Gold Pass offers

We have to force them to change this or else they will turn this game into Clash Royale. That ore conversion shouldn't be hidden behind paywall and at the end of the pass meaning the value from it is too minimal. On top of that it will now take more days to get to the 20% bonus which was a core benefit of buying the pass....

The major problem for progression in Clash of Clans is the ores, either they update the upgrade costs for the later levels, or they add new ore awards, like adding them on clan games, the prospector helper is good, but beeing locked behind a paywall it isn't

As a fp2 and i rushed on heros hero potions are very useful for me and they jus added gambling chest instead of that yes you can get something crazy but you don't know and that crazy shi happens once in a awhile
even if you do buy the gold pass but dont gem it, if my math is correct then you get the prospector on the 19th of that month so you get roughly 11 days of use which is at max 22 starry ore (assuming thats what everyone wants), thats like even less than what you get per week

That's fine IMO. Otherwise the gap between f2p & p2w ore income becomes too big.
Also, if it was available day 1 and you kept converting Shiny/Glowy to Starry, you'd eventually be bottlenecked by them instead of Starry.
The big issue is the builder boost now takes longer for all stages, a pretty hefty nerf there.

Don't make a mistake creating a barrier btw f2p and p2w . These are the small steps that lead to heavy damage
The helper should just be day 1 for P2W and end of pass for f2p

Only available in the paid battle pass progression reward and dissapears the next battle pass. Even if you pay for the next battle pass his reward is locked until you progress enough and it can be days of doing missions.

@selfdeprekation he is (if I'm not wrong) the level 1 reward bc that was a placeholder (dev version always have things changed). I saw a recent video where he is shown as Level 1 reward. I think that was in Alvaro845's negative ore one.
