Super cute outfits! Here’s my tiny top: repurpose an old double D cinch belt as a skirt hike. Just chop it off and sew it into a belt loop. I also dyed the one I used to make it less bright.
New to your channel. I haven’t been to a renaissance fair since the 80s. I’m 73 and a great grandma and I’m in Texas now. I’m gonna have to get to the next renaissance fair I see around here. I loved your video when you went to the thrift shop. I am gonna dress the best I can come close to a costume. Maybe I’ll see you at one soon. Maybe I’ll just dress like a hippie. I can do that..from experience..keep up the good work
This has also a lot to do with where you live. I live in a warm European country and here tiered skirts/dresses, frilly tops and pirate tops never go out of style completely. So when you thrift or shop new it's pretty easy to get this kind of clothes much easier than finding alternative, anime inspired, kawaii or other aesthetic although they've been on the rise since 2019 too.
I don’t know what it was about “I don’t have a fan in here currently… but I do have some forks!” that sent me, but something about that sentence cracked me up! 😂 I think I’ve watched most of these videos already, but I appreciate having them all in one place and it definitely helps since I’m sure I’ve missed some, particularly the earlier ones!
3:32 you might be thinking of Black Sails, Anne Bonny? edit: Elizabeth might have worn one in one of the movies? 2nd edit: I know its not always accessible but for heat: LINEN, 100% linen best thing for hot and sweat! Also it sounds counter-intuitive but cover thy self! Sun directly on skin will heat you up quicker than long sleeve/skirts/pants in a natural fiber.
Love all of these ideas! ( But as a plus-size gal, I'm well aware that it can be tricky to find things in my size at times. I can improvise pretty good, as I'm sure most of my voluptuous sisters can after seeing some of your crazy cool outfits, regardless of "size." Maybe it's PMS, but perhaps ease up on the emphasis on how difficult it can be to find Ren Fair clothes in our size. Thank you. ❤)
I made that specific video within the compilation in response to dozens of comments on tiktok and other social media expressing that they felt it was hard for them to find affordable options in their size. So I made it to fill the need being expressed and the response was pretty positive. I also got a lot of feedback saying I should be conscious of the limited options and provide more size inclusive shops in selection and indicate when a shop is more size inclusive, which I have been trying to do. It’s not me trying to put emphasis on it, but trying to be inclusive and feeding the common demand expressed by my audience.
Yes! I use a tiny dot of eyelash glue where the ear overlaps with the back of your ear. Just let it dry a little and get tacky then put the ear on and press your ear to the elf ear gently. Should stay put!
@@DressMeUpScotty thank you! I was trying all sorts of things and nothing was working. Now if the weather just cooperates so I can bring my grand daughter to our first fairy festival! We’re doing Star Wars fairy mash up! I’m going to be General Leia Organa the Fae and she’s going to be Rey Skyflowerwalker. Lol.

I’m bursting with ideas now!!! Thanks to your inspiration, I’ll be happy thrifting and crafting until my next Ren Faire!
Yay! 🥰🥰

3:10 gives me Musketeer vibes more than pirate, but still very nice ☺
The flower hobbit! So adorable!
I don't have any Faires to go to where I am sadly, but I just wanna wear this aesthetic every day you know
Omg I love some of these outfits 😭

Where is the green bridesmaid maid dress from? The pink floral corset?

My fav is that one with the green plaid skirt! Hey any tips on getting those fairy elf ears to stay on or are my ears just tiny and weird????

I need a guide for what shapes in items we should be looking for when shopping.. I get so overwhelmed and then choose nothing
Where do you get your pants from? 😍
Planning to make a Renaissance Fair costume based around my favorite NFL team, the Green Bay Packers, what would u recommend that I use?
Where is that brown vest from? It fits you perfectly.
It’s thrifted but the brand is Charlotte Russe. It’s actually safety pinned on the inside to make it more fitted haha. My attempt at tailoring 😂
@@DressMeUpScotty Charlotte Russe is a little surprise. I remember the torn-up tank tops they used to do in the mid 2000s. Thanks for letting me know!
Dressing with a specific aesthetic in mind isn't what I would call "just trying to survive" though.
