SUV Conversion Longer Bed HACK!

Hey guys I've been building inside Vans, Suv's, and other vehicles for the past few years now. When this customer came to me with a build in mind that included wanting to have a little extra head room when he slides and tilts his seats forward. I love these challenges because it gets the wheels turning to find the simplest, strongest, and most convenient way to accomplish this for them. I had used these kind of RV style folding table hinge systems in the past and had a feeling they would work perfect for this application!

I have a set of those brackets hanging on the inside of my shed door. I made them to work with a folding router table and a round over bit. Thanks for the idea, I am converting a Kia Soul into a single occupant sleep system. I hope to use some of your ideas. Hopefully I can get myself a van or a larger vehicle someday. I am going to start small and work my way up. Peace Brother.
