We have been waiting for this kind of episode for so so so long. Kara and Alex are hands down our favourite aspect of the show on Supergirl and the Midvale episode has definitely been one of my favourites this season!
The casting was great, the exploration of their relationship was more than I could want, and I really hope to see some more flashback scenes in future episodes. Who couldn't love this duo!

I love that Alex is supposed to be the big strong sister but breaks down only in Kara's arms.

Why on Earth do people think love stories have to feature romantic love anyways? This is a perfect love story that is about as far from romantic love in the right way as it's possible to get, but still a true love story.
I'm baffled by that idea that love stories have to feature romantic love- romantic love between sisters of any kind is simply too weird- and that may well be their views on it too, the characters- these girls, by the way!

As a sister (actually a twin) I got a lot of feels from this video. My sister and I are super close and although I don't watch the show, I am so glad there's a great sister relationship on TV like this one :)

wow, i cried! Kara and Alex 's relationship is the heart and soul of the entire series! I missed their scenes so much on season 2. This show is nothing without them! Their relationship is what made the show special in the first place! Beautiful edit! They are soulmates. 💞

Aw, thank you I'm glad you liked it. It's personally not one of my best but I'm glad you like it nonetheless.
These gals both have very valid points; especially the part about "you're either part of our family or you're not", yes, exactly, for there's no "both/and" there, you can't literally be related to someone and not related to them at the same time.
I do, however, really and thoroughally enjoy the way they address the intraperson drama going on in Kara's mind and "psychological heart" (the part of her brain where the emotions dwell), as she tries to cope with becoming Alex's sister when both are teens; that could throw someone for a loop at times, but these two do have a downright excellent bond- and that's the reason to watch this show.
Their other relationships, such as Alex dating girls, NOT SO MUCH AT ALL, but this, between them, is perfect.

Your video was perfect. I also really liked the midvale episode but I'm torn because in a season 1 flashback, Alex and Kara are going flying together and this is before Jeremiah leaves, plus it's upsetting to think it took over two years for them to become the sisters they are in the present, but really great job with the video.
Aw, thank you so much I'm glad you thought so! ^-^ I agree, the only way I could fix this plot hole in my head is that the loss of Jeremiah, Alex blamed Kara so that's what the problem was.
I was also a little disappointed that they couldn't bring back the actresses from the season 1 flashbacks, but the two girls in the midvale episode were incredible. I was also a little thrown when they got back to midvale because I was thinking 'When did Eliza move?' The 3x06 house isn't the same house in season 1 flashbacks
Well I can kind of understand, the first actress for Kara is like 13 or 14 and the Kara in the Midvale episode is older, about 16 or so, so it makes sense to cast an older actress because the original actress probably wouldn't have pulled that age off. I don't think the house change was too bad or really noticeable. It was still by the water and had a similar look.
I didn't mind the changes. I just noticed them cause I'm a nerd like that. The episode was incredible, and I squealed when J'oon came to see Kara putting on the appearance of her mother. He's been watching out for them so long!
ItsATwinThing Plus the original actress who pkayed Kara is also busy filming seasons 2 & 3 of A Series of Unfortunate Events back to back for Netflix.
