I am tutoring a bilingual child who has major learning gaps when taught both at once. Language skills transfer over to a new language when once fully engrained. If living in England teach her English first, and then she will pick and learn Korean easily when she is a bit older.
My niece and her husband did the one parent one language and their daughter had no issue switching between the two languages at will, but they agreed that it is very important that a very young child not get confused by having 2 different words for a very important word, NO. I'm European, my husband American. I spoke my language, my husband his, and our son learned both. The most important part is consistency. That is how babies learn to separate the two languages.
I love all the baby content! But hope you don’t feel pressured to show all of her firsts on camera. Remember she’s gonna grow up and be a kid, teenager, person that will have all of us knowing about her when she’s a baby. It’s so lovely seeing your family happy together, but I hope you keep precious memories to yourselves!
that’s such a good idea to speak to her in korean especially at the very start. she’ll easily learn english in school, neighborhood friends, and other family members! but korean is going to be mainly exposed to her by her dearest parents. hopefully julie will be fluent in both language easily with no hardships! the little darling is so cute my heart melted when she started babbling.

To her kids she speaks Chinese to them, her husband speaks Korean to the kids and the kids speaks English at school with their friends. Right now they can speak all 3 languages fluently.

I first started watching Josh once he started the English students being introduced to Korean food series on Korean Englishman and was hooked! I’ve been a fan ever since. Then I found out you were married to Gabie and saw her show and saw your journey with trying to get pregnant and was so happy for you both when you guys finally got pregnant! Oh the Joy after seeing all the pain was the best feeling I empathized because my husband and I went through a similar journey. Now you have beautiful baby Julie and I can’t wait to see her grow in your loving environment ❤so happy for you both, may god bless you and your family with everlasting love , happiness and good fortune! Just do both languages.. however I would recommend that at home since you both can speak Korean well just speak Korean to her and let the environment teach her English.. cheers and all the best in your parenting journey!!

Julie not wanting to sleep unless she's held by her dad made me smile so hard. That is exactly how I was as a baby, and to this day the safest feeling in the world for me is when I am hugging my father ❤

가비, 조쉬 두분 다 한국어가 유창하시니 올리버쌤댁 처럼 하는게 정답이에요. 가비님이 그 산증인이시잖아요 ㅎㅎㅎ 집에선 무조건 한국어하고 영어는 집 밖 사회에서 배우면 완벽한 이중언어 가능!
맞아요 영국에서 키우실 거면, 집에서는 무조건 한국어하고 학교나 친구들과 영어로 대화하면서 이중 언어 가능할 듯ㅎㅎ 올리버쌤이 잘하시던데~

저도 동감이에요 짜피 영어는 계속 들으면서 안 배울수가 없기도 하고 또 학교 가면 영어 쓰는 비율이 확 늘거라서 그때 되면 한국어 많이 까먹는 친구들도 있더라고요 지금은 저도 한국어 먼저 하시는 걸 추천드려요!
