You are buying this Coconut in the main tourist destination. If you buy it outside the resorts/Punta Cana, it would cost you 1 to 2 dollars.

Do you know that if you'd paid for that coconut in Dominican pesos rather than USD, it would have cost you $4.25 rather than $5? Unless your currency is an official currency in a country, always pay in the local currency. They will always add a mark-up for any currency they accept that's not their own.

Going to Puerto Rico by any chance? That's funny how you mentioned it was the superbowl in this vid, i was actually in Akihabara, Tokyo when the superbowl was on. We watched the final minutes on our phones while the rest of the group was shopping :D

I wish you would of let us know you were goin to DR ahead of time. I have been all around and I can tell you you didnt hit up the right spots in Santo Domingo....There are amazing places to go there and good fine dinning that is not overly expensive....Also you should go to La Romana and there are some amazing wine vinyards too also in Punta Cana playa Blanca is a must!!!

If they accept usd and the price is in DOP they'll get you on the exchange rate, you'll lose like 20% or some crazy %. That's what I heard dominicans saying.
Funny how this video was a month ago, Super Bowl Sunday I was watching it from New York City. $5 for a coconut, $5 for beer in Bavaro seems steep IMO. You could have gotten a coconut in Boracay and/or San Miguel for about 100-200 PHP. Could you do a comparison of Bavaro and Boracay? Waiting for next vlog, what’s the next country? Would like to see you explore Laos, Myanmar, India, Brazil, Argentina, Puerto Rico. Safe travels!

Punta Cana seems kinda boring for a solo traveler. The food is also very americanized. I'm quite surprised, I didnt imagine it to be that way.

Everything will be like this for those who move like that down there, various types of tourists come to the Dominican Republic, those who come to eat the typical food they eat in their country and the tourists who come to eat the food of the Island and that applies to everything there, not just the food.🤷🏾♂️

Why you eat so bad? You like eat american and Mexican food in the DR ( pizza and quesadillas) come on man. Eat some real food, Dominican food is great, top seafood and steak with rice and beans and tostones.
