    Hi there
Great video and looks like a neat solution to the problem. I've got exactly the same problem with exactly the same van as yours.
I'm about to head of to our local engineering firm to see about the beams and I was wondering know how much "curve" you ended up putting in the support. Looks like 30/40mm ??? or so across the 2 metres. Could you let us know?
    Thanks in advance.

      Hey! Thanks for watching.
30 to 40mm I think would be a bit excessive. I put a straight edge this afternoon on the under side of the support and end to end. In the centre of the support is 10 to 15mm. You only want a very gentle arc across the whole of the material or you have to push the roof up to high in order for the supports to meet your angle iron on the outside.
      Hope this helps!

@@inmans1231 Yeah thanks - I've spent the afternoon running straight edges all over the inside and outside of the van and came up with 12mm rise. I think the curve looked a lot more because of the camera angles. Looks like you did the repair a year or so ago - is it still holding up OK?
I hope it is because I'm off to the engineering firm tomorrow.

I think you would be spot on at 12mm. Yeah roughly a year ago and done a couple a week long trips with Victoria's rough rounds and all still looking great. Using the thicker/ smaller gauge box section when roof is down is sort of gently lays on the canvas and aluminium of the main frame so I recon would help absorb any big bumps.
