Today I had to configure data & voice VLAN on the same interface. I spend 8 hours tried every method I could search in juniper resources, but it was a failure (couldn't get any worse). Now after watching this video twice I think I know what to do.....thanks
Hi, I love your content keep it up. You said along the lines. "If a Primary or Preferred are not configured/selected then the lowest IP will be automatically selected". My question is, selected for what? the Primary or Preferred.
Any comments on configuring bridge-domain for mapping vlans to irb's in MX? Otherwise they don't work at all like you expect. This got me at first (coming from old school IOS). Good work on these series. :)
@@NetworkDirection good question. I am coming from old school 65k's straight to MX204 so the triplet of vlan, irb, and bridge-domains just to set up a L3 routing vlan was mind boggling. I think it's less complex in non-MX. Overall I love the cli much better than IOS though. Except for this!
@@v12alpine There's a few pros and cons for sure. I like the CLI, but setting up MPLS in a small environment on small SRX's nearly broke my brain (I didn't do it in the end) - Mixing flow and packet mode was a minefield
This is what i was looking for, thank you so much, i wonder if there is JUNIPER course to buy? Plz contact me or guide me how to buy it. I deeply need to learn Juniper system.

I think that would be primary. To be honest, I have yet to face a real-world situation where it's made a difference.
Dear Sir, I can not create van id that means this command is not working on VM " set vlans vlan-name vlan-id 10 " can you help me what issue?
I have the same problem
What platform are you using? EX/SRX/MX?
Hello. What are the benefits of membership ? Do you have virtual labs to practice ?

I haven't used the MX routers. I've been using the EX switches and SRX firewalls. What should we watch out for?
