Let's start off here, I don't believe Shinobu dislikes Tanjiro. In fact quite the opposite, seeing Kanoe's heart starting to open up and being more open with her emotions instead of the cold person she was before. If she did survive I think she would've enjoyed being an Aunt to Tanjiro & Kanao's child.

All the people who joke about Shinobu being hostile towards Tanjiro for being with her sister; I get what they're doing, but that doesn't follow either of the characters at all. Tanjiro is 100% the kind of person Kanao needs in her life, and Shinobu 100% recognizes that, so there's no way she'd be hostile towards Tanjiro like that.

Tanjiro is such a respectful man! Instead of just saying what he wants, he says what he wants and asks Kanao about what she wants to do because she’s the one carrying the kid for 9 months and pushing it out of her body! It’s sad to have to say that’s respectful though… that should be normal, not special!

In today's society the father has to pay for everything even if it means he starves to death. This is a decision that takes two not just one. I'm the product of a father who starved to provide, when my mother split up with him he was made to pay for everything. He starved to death when I was 12, I found him in front of my school hunched over with a tarp over him. He wanted to see me one last time I guess tho before then I never met him. What tanjiro did was nearly perfect, he stated what he wanted but then asked what she wanted however he values everyone else's wants above his own giving her the ultimate decision instead of discussing it mutually. A child should always be a mutual agreement not a single person should have the right to outweigh the voice of the other when it comes to life. I say this under the presumption that the act that led to the child was also a mutual agreement.
