EST Gee X Forever rolling combo is 🔥🔥
Locking in with an artist is so key. 🔑 The artist I’ve been working with for the last year has put me on to so many opportunities. Linked me with the movers and shakers in the area. Hell I just snagged a position at the studio he records at. All off of focusing on the music first and not the money. You find the right artist and ride with them, they’ll ride with you.
Good shit bro 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Good luck my guy💪🏾same shit just happened to me. Me and my artist I’ve been with been goin crazy and my dawg that run the studio gave me an engineering job and since I’ve been lockin in with so many artist I’m about to have to quit my 9-5🤞🏾🙏🏾

great fuckin interview.
@18:20 I believe there’s a lot more you can do as a producer. There’s promo, pulling up on DJs, networking the rooms and getting the music around. You just have to think of ways to get heard.
502 #Louisville 🎹
I thought that was stunna gambino😂😂😂yea the zaza got me
How he say “D minor” sound hard 🤣
He goin crazy rn tho 🔥🔥🔥
The ice broke at the end.
502💯💪
producers need to get business established before you even work with the artist. Artist start profiting as soon as they drop. And if you don’t have any splits in place it’s gonna take longer for you to get your money.
i play tuba, baritone and trombone but my main instrument is drums too haha
D minor! major key

Lick Back and Young Shiners hard as hell
If I knew how being in the band could help me make beats in the days of the internet, I would’ve never quit band. The school I went to was lame and the band sucked! We may have had a total of 30 people across marching band and concert band, and everyone had to do both. Between that, playing football, and being in love too early, I just said F IT. Lol I regret it now.
blonde hair dude steady be trying to argue lol

BRO , YALL NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE BEST PUBLISHING DEALS/Company for Producers . Which Pros is best for producers .. ETC .. common naw ! We all know how to click and make beats .. TELL US HOW TO SECURE THE BAG . YOU ARE PRODUCERS GRIND FOR A REASON RIGHT ? . And you better not say “do your research” cos nigga I was doing the research and it brought me here . Might aswell GIVE ALL THE INFO
Man I love the energy here so I'm gonna go into a long reply...don't skip over this if it's not what you want to hear but truthfully there is no "best" publishing company or "best" PRO.
Everyone's experience will be different. You could be at a small publishing company for a small advance and be happy with how they work or you could be at a large publishing company and be unhappy even though you got the larger advance. Some people take huge publishing deals and they land so many placements that they're a priority for the company AND they get out of the deal quickly. Some people go with the small publishing company and just don't get where they want to be.
It depends on your needs and how you move really.
Also there are different types of publishing deals you could do... You could sign up for an administration deal which means you keep all your ownership and just pay a fee for someone to collect $ on your behalf. There's usually not a huge advance on admin deals.
Co-publishing deals will take 50% of everything until the deal is up and then for a short period afterward.
See it's so many options what works for me may not work for you.
Now for PROs it's kind of the same thing but you only have two options.
BMI vs Ascap.
BMI is free to sign up with and they will send you the writer's share AND publisher's share when you sign up for just one account. Ascap costs $50 and you'll have to sign up for one writer account and one publisher account if you want both writer's share and publisher's share royalties sent to you.
Ascap says it is a non profit organization (these days I don't know if I trust a company just because they say it's true.)
BMI is for profit.
Ascap will send you a royalty check as long as it's over $100 (if not, you'll have to wait until you make at least $100)
BMI will send you a royalty check as long as it's over $250 (if not, you'll have to wait until you make at least $250)
If you sign up for Direct Deposit though (like a normal human being) NONE of this matters though. So as you can see there's all kinds of different ways to compare the companies and something that might mean a lot to me, may not be that big of a deal to you. The only way is to literally find out for yourself by signing up. You would have to sign up for one company and if you're happy then stay with them. If not, you can leave and sign up with the opposite company (I think you have to wait at least a year though.)
Aside from all that - this interview has a LOT of gems and ForeveRollin didn't speak in codes or keep any secrets to himself. He pretty much says flat out exactly what you should be doing and how you should be moving in this industry. You can't really be mad at that.
I've been producing since 2005. I got my first major placement in 2008. I agree with ALL of his advice in this video and ProducerGrind did a great job setting up the questions and keeping the conversation going so it could be an insightful video. This is probably their best interview yet just from how open everybody was. Give it a couple replays.
@@djaycasbeats thanks for this reply . I read EVERYTHING! Preciate that . I wasn’t mad at rollin , he dropped all the gems he could drop . But ! I think producer grind should ask in dept qstns about the business side of music . There is literally no detailed video on RUclips on how producers should go about the business side .
Snure lol
🔥🔥🔥 tb hat still don’t fit with his big ahhhh head tho 🤣
