Being allowed to call yourself an MCC off the bat varies from region to region, there are places where you cant call yourself an MCC off the bat and it has to be earned, then there are places where you can call yourself an MCC off the bat. I've seen and met many clubs that were a long way from being a traditional MCC, calling themselves MCC when they should really be calling themselves social riders/ing clubs, or family clubs. It's a good question as there does seem to be a whole section of these - new-age way of thinking clubs calling themselves MCC - where the old way of doing things where all members MUST own and ride a bike, prospect, earn their place, learn about the history and what the club and patch stands for and represents, those things are less important than the actual fact they're wearing a club patch on their jackets. All the time i see newer clubs pop up calling themselves "old school MCC", then i see full patch members that don't even own or ride a bike, and the biggest jab in the eye with a sharp stick for me is when i see these non bike owning people holding officers positions within the club, only riding patch holders should ever hold an officers position as far as i'm concerned.
I agree, there is a code, that code should be respected, would I like to be MCC or MC? Well yes, I’m not closed to it. Do I have the time to prospect? I don’t think I do and I don’t commit to things that I can’t put myself wholeheartedly into. Would I join an MCC that didn’t have a prospecting period? No, I wouldn’t do that either, it just seems rather fly by night to me. Am I a biker? Yes, I ride pretty much everyday and I miss riding when I’m unable to do so. I ride, I get my groceries on the bike, I need to go somewhere, I’m on the bike, do I have great friends who ride, yes I do and do we a love and respect for each other? Certainly, but we are not an MCC and we shouldn’t pretend that we are.

I'm in the same boat by the sounds of it. there is a club I really want to join but at the moment I just do not have the time or the funds to commit, it would be a waste of both the clubs & my time to even try to join.
Respect starts way before you even turn up to hang around or prospect, I wish we could whip some sense into these new age people but it's hard to teach people who don't want to be taught & think they know everything already.

Right you are Dibbs. I came up in the 70s, ran like a wild dog and FULLY believe in what you say. Now in my middle 60s you wouldn't think I was what I was till you see my sleeves. I'm an older quiet slickback that knows the rules and never says a word. H&R. Kinda wish I had youtube to have avoided getting some lumps coming up, aaaahhh, but that's life, LOL
I picked up a fair few bumps along the way too, look closely above my right eye and you can see a conflict that happened way back in the 80s, the lump above my right eye is where i was hit with a hammer, flying elephants and stars in your eyes is a real thing LMAO. H&R
I could see people going to channels they don't like where there are no moderators like yours policing the comments , and swearing or being racist deliberately to shut down the comment sections. I miss the old wild RUclips myself, despite the negative aspects.
My moderators are well on top of everything that's for sure, i've had moderators on this channel almost since i started it and both are MC members. H&R

I used to be a Vice-chairman in one of the MCC.
Unfortunately it's been start to be a friend's and family Club.
Man, woman, wifes, fathers, sons, doughters, people who not ride or even not own a motorcycle.
Obviously I decided to left as that was something what in my opinion is not what MCC should represent.

And you're 100% correct, once they go family orientated they should drop the MCC in their name H&R
I get notifications of your videos and 9/10 times get notified as to when your live, but I kind of know the times now so its all good.
As to MCC I was involved with the setup of one-Never transpired-It was going along the lines of pure oldschool, prospecting, rules ect ect. Listening to you I was surprised to say the least, If your'e going to declare yourself as an MCC at least be able to ride a Motorbike. H&R

I don’t ride, I don’t own a motorcycle. So I don’t understand why you would be a member of a Motorcycle club if you don’t ride or have a bike. You don’t join a darts club if you don’t play darts either?
Ive personly haven't had no issues with you or jester with notifications. Im using a phone and know which bell to press, maybe thats just it.
RUclips really should have a pop up explaining this whole bell notification issue when we log into the platform, us content creators shouldn't have to explain to our subscribers why they are not getting notifications although they are already subbed to our channels, the whole thing is a complete and utter poop show H&R
I think a lot of people enjoy the fantasy of been in a MCC/MC. I don't think they realise riding around with colours on your back that is just for show to make yourself look important can get you into a load of trouble with serious clubs.
One thing i see a lot of now is drunk guys in pubs pretending they are in a club like Blue Angels and acting the tough guy and wanting to fight everybody. I always wonder what would happen if the real club members walked in the pub and saw a guy like this causing hassle for others and using their MCC/MC name. Any thoughts on what the outcome of that would be?

Well said, I have found through experience there is too many clubs that call themselves MCC and don't act like one. I'm now prospecting for my 3rd MCC as the first two where not what they made out. But I'm glad I'm still prospecting or I would be a member of a club I'm not happy with. H&R

As a member of a 30yr+ MCC very pleased you put this out. Club is run on old skool rules and laws, as it should be. You do suggest MCC’s are there as a recruiting ground and for ppl to learn the ways of being in a club. Not always. Yes Iv seen this happening but those MCC’s were a support club. We support no one and not affiliated with any club. Just as I like it, as I personally have no intention of going to a MC. Love my Club, Colours & Brothers. It’s a complex issue you touched on and pleased you have. I’d like explain the complexities of the MCC/MC and setting up of a MCC in my area but the politics of my area forbids further discussion. The position a lot of new folk to the scene have is one of instant gratification. Its typical of the society we live in today. Everybody wants everything and they want it yesterday.
A lot of the younger folk today, and some older ones as well, are not willing to do the time and learn the old way as it's not a trait that is acceptable in today's way of life.
Everything is rush rush and why wait?! A side effect of the internet age where folk can obtain stuff instantly.
The notion that you would join a club and probation for 12 months is outlandish to these types. Why would they have to learn histories and traditions when they can just Google that shit, right?!

So many people these days just want to buy a look they don't want to earn the patch.
Some people ask me "why do you hang out with those guys? do you really want to be like them, what attracts you to them"
I say because I recognize people with real values & real respect & I would love to one day be a part of something you cannot simply buy, you must earn it.

I totally agree with your thoughts. Bylaws and structure benefit all club members, and why be in a club if you dont own or cant ride a bike?! It seems to be a status thing rather than earning it, working at it and proving your worth. LH&R Dibber.

We are very strict on MCCs starting in our area. They go past us or they don't go at all. Otherwise it's just a free for all where any muppet can puff his chest and play Sons Of Anarchy.

This will depend on which version of youtube you're using, new STUDIO BETA, or old youtube classic, or if you're using a PC/Laptop or a mobile devise app. I know for a fact all the links work in the new Studio BETA as i changed everything on BETA on Saturday and tested the links myself, try hard refreshing the page on what ever devise you're using and then try again. Quick question here for you mate, there are a few clubs in my area that do wear patches however they don't call themselves MCC or MC, and aren't part of the coalition, the local dominant is aware of them though, can patches be worn on the front without the MCC designation? Or without being part of the coalition? In the same breath there are clubs in the coalition (I won't give their full names) but call themselves a "brotherhood" instead of MCC, can you shed any light on this? As it's all a bit confusing to me 😂
That would depend which DOM MC has claimed that area, majority wont allow unsanctioned patches and the fact the MC's are allowing them to do it means they are sanctioned or they wouldn't be wearing them.

Has nothing to do with monetization, it may well be for BD and James but not for me, it's about protecting the channel as a whole.
