I go to a hardstyle party/rave to dance..not get cramped in and squished by thousands of people. I'm the biggest hardstyle fan ever but this shit just would not work for me.

i dont know why this is the most viewed video of qlimax 2009. I thought headhunterz, davide sonar, and brennan heart all had much better sets.
For me this was the best Qlimax i've ever been, what a beautiful stage!
I know the older qlimax editions.. from 2004 onwards I know them all.. But this one had the best show, the most creative stage.. and an awesome lineup. Imo this was the best qlimax, and I think the only anthem that is really capturing nothing of the old atmosphere at all is the psyko punkz anthem, it's just not dark at all.. You could of course say that qlimax has been to full since 2009 or 2008, but I like these editions as much as 2006 and 2005.. imo qlimax has not gone worse, it just changed.
I don't know man. I get this 'HandzUp!' feeling from most newer Hardstyle tunes. Don't get me wrong, there is are still some great releases. But any off them are catchy, sounds like it's made for the fame. When all these HandzUp! fans started diggin Hardstyle, i guess it was when Bass-T & Rocco made the Hard 'something' albums, more & more Hardstyle producers startet this cheesy trend.
Commercial melodies? Activator & Zatox - Freedom.. Track from 2008.. Nu-style track. The track has a "commercial" melodie but the track is a darker/harder track because of the kick. I checked your profile.. you listen to nu-style tracks.. you've even mixed Wildstylez track ("Nu-style" producer). So don't talk rubbish.. "There's no REAL hardstyle these days".. You prefer oldskool darker/harder tracks.. Say it like that!
hmm and what about al those rockbands who play at big concerts and festivals? they play the same music as your friends so why do those bands get fame and wealth and your friends don't? couple of my friends make music like this but these guys are so good at it! not everybody can do this you know. just like playing a guitare, takes practise and innovation.

someone just told me about hardstyle cuz i didnt know about that music. i just thought it were a bad music. but when i heard from 1:25 to 3:18 it was so fantastic. it was so cool. brilliant. i just had goosebumps from 1:25 to 3:18. wow.... now i really love hardstyle. lol thnx my friend.

If HS track has good melody (which is very important to me) and at least quite good Bass/kick then its ok..
I dont like these oldskool tracks, with minimal melody, just boring to listen.. Although when it has kickazz bass and kick then it may be quite good..
I agree.. times changing and so is music. Some people always complain about the nu-style.. but there still listening to it. I guess those people will go crazy @ a party like Qlimax. You don't hear people complain about the nu-style then!!

Qlimax is always in the Gelredome in Arnhem. So far I know it's only in the Netherlands.
I can tell you it's the sickest fest I ever have been!!! I can't wait for Qlimax after seeing this flashback of 2009.
Why does everyone look so dead in this video? The crowd sucks....probably just all piped up with drugs and crap. Whoever said that drugs are the best part about going to these events? I go for the music tbh.
