After being a fan since 2000, I can assure everyone she RARELY sings live (Regis & Kelly "Amarantine" in 2005 and at the Oscars in 2002). She performed "Even in the Shadows" relatively live a year or two ago on "Good Day New York." We'll probably never see a TRUE live performance from Enya - where no backing track is used. She's a studio artist and prefers to stay that way. There's really no way to put her music on stage and still have it sound like the Enya we're used to. I've accepted that she'll never tour and I'll never get to see her, but at least she gives us these mock performances and does interviews now and then. Such is the life of a true Enya fan
@@SKYSAW59 - There is only one song (that I know of) where Enya truly sings live along with her backing tracks of course. It's when she was young and sings Orinoco Flow in Japan. You can actually hear that she's really singing live on that one and even hear her going off tune several times. I think since then Enya has decided to not attempt live performing anymore. I believe she could do live performances with practice like anyone else, but she's a very shy person who just wants to make music rather than have to perform it. Which is fine. It's a whole different world going on tour vs being a studio musician like her. She's still a legend!

I had to call the radio station to ask who the artist was. I bought the CD the next day. Her music blew the minds of our entire family. And Enya has been essential music ever since. An amazing catalog of songs from Enya & the Ryans.
Back in elementary school, my art teacher would play Enya while we painted. Sadly, I have forgotten her name with time, but I thank her for playing it.

Same here - St. Mary's Primary School in Thornbury, UK. Played the Watermark album while we worked... wonderful memories.
I have literally had to watch numerous videos of her doing this live because I am in disbelief, her voice is something else.
the music is an overdub from the album version. i have yet to see any live recording of this song that isnt overdubbed by TV stations
