Well actually in the Three Curses chapter you have to do a ritual and when you complete that ritual it allows the entity to go up. But before the ritual the entity couldn't go up.

If there's going to be a third game; I'd imagine it'd be Ruby (a little while after her escape ending) finding her way to the Underworld and finding her Esther (Her Nana), but in her younger form because apparently ??? prefers her that way.
