I Naturally Love Mercedes cars especially old ones like this one. Mercedes cars are reliable and durable. Imagine a car left in a garage for 30 years and when brought out looks as good as new.
I would definitely pick this old Mercedes, simply because it was built much better, has superior building materials, a much better body than the new ones, no expensive electronics and a more reliable car than new Mercedes's.
I Believe this car is on 30 years in warehouse, cos at 01:31 the yellow plate in Brazil is very older (70´s and 80´s) and is changed for a Grey Plate since the january 1992 and shift again in 2020
I wish someone had told me earlier a detailed interior and exterior wash could transform a car like that. The price is an insult if the car was indeed owned by the legendary Pele!!!
Regarding the engine compartment I would be hesitant to clean it with water. Water and moist is going to cause ignitionproblems. Start with an engine oil + filterchange, change all fluids, new battery, 6 new startplugs + cable, flush the automatic transmission + new filter and see if she starts up. Put on new tyres and don't waste time on the old ones. But otherwise great cleaning job :-)

Great job on the car. $300 is an absolute bargain. I pay my mobile car wash guy $40 for just an exterior hand wash. You get a 10+. I'm not sure about the $40K price .... seems high for a car that we know nothing about the mechanical workings after such a long storage time.

The machine of this car is almost NEW with a mileage below 10.000 km! You will hardly find a machine with a running performance like this in such excellent condition. There are some with about 100.000 - 350.000 km and still running fine even today. Definitely worth 40.000! Greetings Form Germany...

You might consider using steam cleaner guys. It'll be a big help agitating the dirt and somehow disinfecting the interior. And also using drill brush on the floor mats and carpet.
Only about 160 mph on the odometer but an accurate one for me. Used to about 124 mph on the odometer in a Mercedes since childhood. One generation newer than Pele's car.
Nice model. We never got that one in South Africa. Would have replaced the tyres. Needs a full oil change engjne and transmission. But good job looks lovely.

In Germany a rim like that brand new cost 180 euro.. polishing chromed parts might be better with a special paste made by Sonax.. How much did you charge it depends on how much you guys spend detailing the car and how many products did you use on it from decontamination, shampoo, glass cleaner, leather solutions and wood trims waxes / products..
These are standard MB alloywheel Rims..they where about 200 DM new back in the 1970s..more expensive are BBS Rims..back then..350 DM..or 200$ a pcs..That car is called slash 8 series..must be a 1976 or 1977 model..the up to 1974 version got plane Rearlights..not riffeld..
