I usually find the sweet spot between volume and tone. Listen for how much bottom end, top end, crunch, clarity each knob gives you and narrow it down to what works best with your mic and placement

I have lots of sessions started and I'm just trying to finish those off. Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree was great for us because everything was done within a week of each other and everything was done in house
