  • I bought a second rucksack in the hope that it would be in better condition. The newer one is basically the same or slightly more worn.
I made this to give you expectations on buying used, nearly 40 year old rucksacks.
There were much fewer of these made than the LK35, so the cost is much more.
Both of mine are canvas, and sometimes the cordura version is available. I like the look of the canvas better.
Any questions or comments? I will respond when I have time.

Skol from Minnesota! I own both the LK35 and LK70 packs, which I'd have to say are outstanding pieces of gear. My LK70 is similar to your '81 model, same teal colored snow sleeves, leather in great condition and with a stamped date of 1978. Attaching the Swedish 304 webbing system to the LK35 increases capacity but, overall, the LK70 is a far more superior pack, especially for winter load-outs. Thanks for the vid!

I've sold all my internal frame rucks.
    I hate them.
    Going framed all the way.
    Btw, kifaru is pronounced kiff-ar-roo

Yes, sold it on eBay, pretty much a wash. It is hard to find them, but I used the money for another pack.
