Love that Cedar Fair went over the top for Winterfest at Canada's Wonderland :) I gotta say their investments into the park over the years are absolutely amazing.
I was there on Saturday. I do not think there was a single tree without lights on them. The light show to music behind the mountain was the highlight for me.
I was starstruck... Winterfest is absolutely beautiful! It's definitely a repeatable event too, there's still so many things I missed and things I want to go back for. Absolutely amazing. Well done Wonderland!
Every time he says “absolutely amazing”, take a shot. You’ll be drunk by the end of the video. LOL. I’m just kidding. It looks nice, but I won’t drive 7 hours if there aren’t any coasters open. But I’m glad there’s something like that for everyone to enjoy.
Great to hear the positive feedback. We did Kings Island's WinterFest last season and it was phenomenal. Having Mystic and FoF open was great, but all the season specific items we thought were really well done. First class experience.
You nailed your description and perspective of wonderland... This is a must see for anyone in Toronto... I was certainly shocked we have a pass and go for maybe 3 hours during summer... We stayed open to close last night. Did you guys see the Charlie brown Christmas tree 🎄 it's kinda hidden and clever by Tim Hortons in kidzville The show was amazing. I like this better than haunt by a long shot. The theming is absolutely world class and there may be few winter events in the world that compare to this to be honest
They missed a perfect opportunity to turn that globe on international street into a snow globe! But man this looks amazing. Can't wait to go sometime in December!
So yeah. I was impressed when Six Flags debuted Holiday in the Park at my home park, though admittedly it hasn't gotten bigger in the years since. Cedar Fair obviously is in another league when it comes to the winter event. Very few areas in my Six Flags got the kind of attention it appears almost the entirety of Canada's Wonderland got. The shows are generally smaller, and the only in-park singers are carolers - nothing like the trolley. As an event this is clearly better. But I'm also a coaster enthusiast. Now, I'm not gonna say Six Flags does winter better but I do like that the SF parks are mostly open still - especially in warmer cities. Clearly Six Flags could do more with decorations and entertainment, Cedar Fair is doing so much better there, but corporate would have to increase budgets for that. I live reasonably close to two Cedar Fair parks (World's of Fun and King's Island) and this makes want to go. If more rides were open I'd have already booked a trip - but man do I have to think it over. For my tastes, and the fact that I have SF memberships and a home park, really makes it hard to spend that money and time going to another one out of the chain. Good enough event + rides + already paid for might be good enough for me this year. I'd be ecstatic if Six Flags took Cedar Fair's events seriously and improved the event itself, or if Cedar Fair decided to operate more of the rides. I'd visit a Cedar Fair park every year even though my closest is 3.5 hours away.
Danrarbc I really enjoyed this review. Found it very non biased and I agree with what you’re saying. For enthusiasts Six Flags does winter better and for families Cedar Fair does winter better :)
@@AmusementInsiders I was totally rooting for that 'merger' that was basically a reverse buyout. The Cedar Fair management team having control over my home park ❤️ Ah well 💔
Yes the lights were awesome and the street shows were great, but the show in Canterbury Theatre had the fire alarms and sprinklers went off during the first show. The Turkey Dinner was a bust for me, the veggies were cold and the staff was overwhelmed by the dinner rush when they open late. At the time I was there, only one cash was able to take dinning plan. I was impressed with the roaming character and how they endured the cold. As always with Wonderland, safety is a priority, they had cleaning staff running around with de-icer pellets looking for any ice that might cause someone to slip or fall. It was also great to see senior staff going hands on and dealing with minor issues themselves.
Only thing I didnt like is that it costs over $125 for 1 adult and 1 toddler if you want the full experience. 22.99 for cookie painting. 22 parking 12.99 hot chocolet. That's not including food and toy for kid when you leave. I also have season pass they claim you get a deal yet it's cheaper to just buy the anytime pass. I'm going tonight so better be worth the money.
Hey I really hope you read this! Buy a 2020 gold pass for $99 online for you and your toddler and use the 12 month payment plan (it’s really cheap) you can even add all season parking. The pass will get you in for Winterfest me for 2019 and every season in 2020. It’s the best deal and beyond cheap to pay off. Parking on the pass won’t work till 2020 but still extremely cheap and you will need to visit Winterfest more then once to do everything!
Yesterday, the show song they were singing cut out and they all continued dancing and singing into a mic which revealed they were lip syncing lol. But it is still a wonderful show.
Jessie Goodwin again all the songs are performed live and have been rehearsed for weeks. I have footage of the mic’s cutting out and you can hear the singers singing
They should of called it Winter Wonderland instead of WinterFest
It could of been a copyright thing 🤷
I been there yesterday, it was absolutely stunning and basically my Christmas dreams come true

It looks absolutely amazing.

I thought the shows/live entertainment were exceptional. I was not expecting the high level of glitz and glamour from Cedar Fair.
I went last night I was really impressed wonderland knocked it out of the park and the food was the best this whole season great update brendon
can u bring your own skates to the park?
Lauren Michele yes!
I have seen you gugs everyday i've gone so far. great video. thanks for all season gate pass.
I saw you guys yesterday at winter fest wanted to say hi but I was to shy. Love your videos this is Chris 's gf.

How much of the park is used for their winter fest ?
First year they really went all out. I guess it makes it easy for them since they have the whole month the park shut down for this event
Do they have the Peanuts Characters still?

Marissa Adamson glad you had an amazing time 🤩🎄
Great video, answers all my curiosities, what was the walkway with glow in the dark lights??
T L it was the candy indoor house in planet snoopy :)
I love everything about winterfest accept for the leviathan arcade being converted. I gotta play my Outrun 2 somehow :(
Is ice skating free if not booked in advance?
Ella Mitchell-Sutton unfortunately not :( and it’s been so popular that you have to book in advance
Ahmazin! Ahmazin! So ahmazzzin!
What if any attractions are upcharge?
Slipp Q cookie decorating, ice skating
The amount of likes this gets is how many times he said absolutely amazing
Is dog allowed there?

thunder2 I can confirm there’s no lip syncing
How would u know if u didn’t c it?
Jessie Goodwin again all the songs are performed live and have been rehearsed for weeks. I have footage of the mic’s cutting out and you can hear the singers singing
Amusement Insiders okay I was just wondering cause u didn’t state that in ur previous comment. I just wanted to make sure
Jessie Goodwin no problem Jessie :)
Wow I'm the very first one to view a video for once...
That doesn't happen very often....
When you see the show definitely sit front centre as low as you can you will like to surprise for fans
What about merchandise?
Its more nicer if snowing Winter Wonderland its boring without snow
With this advertising, you could sell me sand in
The park has millions of dollars and doesn't have the money for 1 or 2 snow machines??? So sad.
Jonny Weber they won’t need snow machines lol 😂 they need snow removers
@@AmusementInsiders snow is so pretty on the trees. What is a winter event without the snow???
