Quick look at the inaugural figure from DID's Vietnam era line, kicking off with their version of Lt. Col. Hal Moore, as portrayed by Mel Gibson in the movie, We were soldiers.

Damn, I love your videos. Glad that you made this video of this figure! I'm still on the fence after I picked up the LRRP Ujindou figure and the Hot toys Platoon Chris Taylor. But an awesome figure. Keep up the great work my brother. Thanks again!
Tony!!! This turned out great, so if you do decide to pick it up at some point, i think you'll be happy. Those Platoon figures are still amazing. I always thing about going back to get Chris and Barnes. But so many things coming out!

I had high hopes for this figure but unfortunately the main draw (the M16 rifle) is highly inaccurate especially in the carrying handle and the three prong flash hider. A rifle made by DML like 25 years ago is more accurate than this garbage.
You're definitely right about the rifle. Honestly this feels more like a movie figure, recreating the look from the film. which used M16A1 rifles as a basis. So it feels like they went for "screen accuracy" over historical.
