Wow, that sucks. You guys didn’t lose everything though. You still have each other and you have private memories of a fantastic trip that you’ll be able to talk about for the rest of your lives. I understand that videos are your job, maybe this trip just wasn’t intended for all of us. That’s okay, don’t let it leave a negative impression on your time there.
I'm glad you guys were living in the moment though. That's how vacations should be spent to an extent because you're just having fun and enjoying it. It sounded like the only issue on the trip was the camera SD card and not getting the memories recorded. I'm so sorry that you lost the footage I can't imagine how that felt. At least you did get some photos and videos of Italy to capture the memories 🥺 Italy is so dreamy and such a gorgeous country and it does sound like you guys had a blast a majority of the time otherwise, so that should feel good though. Maybe you guys will get the opportunity to travel back to Italy one day 💖💜
I know it sucks but don’t feel bad! You’re people first and deserve to experience this as authentically as possible. I’ve been there as a high school grad gift from my parents, and it was AMAZING! All that matters is you had fun.

At least you have something from the trip. Photos are lifetime lasting. The moments that you cherished there together are more important than a video. I can understand the frustration of losing stuff I lose stuff all the time. I was trying to go to Italy before Covid and then as I was trying to go Covid hit. Pictures are better than having nothing. ❤❤❤❤

Honestly I know you guys are sad about the situation but I’m a big believer in “things happen for a reason” I think it’s a good thing it happened because you guys put so much time and heart into us as viewers and it’s okay to take time away for just the two of you! You guys still have beautiful pictures from the trip (saw some from both of you guys on instagram recently!) and like you guys said I’m glad you guys still have those!!! But truly guys I really believe it was time for you guys to have a personal vacation away from social media and sharing with us about it and to make it all about shared moments between the two of you!! 🫶🏼 I love you both! Call the hotel that y’all think the SD card is at and see if a housekeeper found it and if they did they usually keep it at the front desk or in there office of things left behind for a month i used to be a housekeeper at a hotel and that’s what we did
You should absolutely call the hotel and ask if they found it and if so, can they ship it to you!!

i'm glad i thought u we're gonna say u lost the camera that u just bought before the trip lol thank goodness i'm sorry u lost the SD card just try and stay positive at least that's the only thing u lost and u didn't lose anything else things happen for a reason i'm sure u will get it back one way or another
Regarding caps on water and soda bottles, the EU legislated earlier this year that those must not come off (easily), in an attempt at recycling all plastic. In many countries there is a recycling program, but apparently quite often it happened that the caps came loose and only the bottle was recycled. If you had come here 6-12 months earlier, you would not have observed this.
And yes, hopefully someone finds the card, does an Google Image search on the content and finds you. The worst that could happen is that someone else uploads a video of you, preferably though you'd get the memory card back.
