    Thank you very much! But I still have a question: how did you place the block in the course in the center? In my moodle I can place this block on the dashboard in the center on top (as you did) - but in the courses the block appears always on the right an i don't have the choice to place in in the center on top, I just see the option "right" in the courses. Thank you so much for the amazing video tutorial on the Moodle plugin "OpenAI Chat Block"! I used my Assistant API key. I uploaded my documents, allowing the assistant to communicate effectively based on these documents. Initially, everything worked correctly, and the chatbot provided one or two responses as expected.
    But, I'm encountering a significant issue where, after a brief period of interaction, the chatbot stops responding. It's just stuck on loading, and eventually, the entire Moodle system crashes. The only workaround I've found so far is to delete cookies and reload the page, which is quite inconvenient.
    Could anyone please offer some help or guidance on this? Is there something I might be missing in the setup, or is it a known issue with a potential fix? Thanks in advance!

      @barkingbandicoot yes to ChatGPT not to free or open source. Many have asked if Open AI is indeed ChatGPT because they seem to think they are not the same. Open AI is the API which you can use use and develop. Why don’t you check the API and see why they call it open and how it’s free to use. Did you really think ChatGPT is not for profit with all the money they are making? You may find this information of interest: “OpenAI was created as an open source (which is why I named it “Open” AI), non-profit company to serve as a counterweight to Google, but now it has become a closed source, maximum-profit company effectively controlled by Microsoft". What does Open AI chat do in moodle?

    • @NellieDeutsch
      @NellieDeutsch  Год назад

      Thank you for asking. ChatGPT OpenAI chat is a plugin for the Moodle learning management system that allows students to chat with a large language model (LLM) powered by OpenAI's GPT-3 text completion API. The LLM can answer questions, generate text, and even translate languages.
      The plugin can be used in a variety of ways, such as:
      1. Providing 24/7 support to students
      2. Helping students with their coursework
      3. Facilitating discussions between students
      4. Generating creative content
      The plugin is customizable, so instructors can choose the persona of the LLM and the prompts it is given. This allows the plugin to be used in a variety of contexts and for a variety of purposes.
      Here are some specific examples of how ChatGPT OpenAI chat can be used in Moodle:
      1. A professor could use the plugin to provide 24/7 support to students by having the LLM answer questions about the course material.
      2. A student could use the plugin to get help with their homework by asking the LLM questions about the problems they are working on.
      3. A group of students could use the plugin to have a discussion about the course material by using the LLM to generate prompts for discussion.
      4. A student could use the plugin to generate creative content, such as poems, stories, or code, by giving the LLM prompts and letting it generate the text.
      Overall, ChatGPT OpenAI chat is a powerful tool that can be used in a variety of ways to improve the learning experience in Moodle.
