The clear crystal pieces with circle/hole in middle are ash trays. You put your cigarette in the hole until flame is snuffed out. That prevents burnt odor you get when you'd otherwise smash cigarette out. They are very desirable to smokers and a bit difficult to find.
Those Owl mugs one looked one way and the other looked the other way. They were a pair. I like the cat, its awesome. There were some fantastic Lamps in the second store.
I check out this Goodwill a couple of times a week, very surprised you ended up in El Cajon. Ten minutes down the road is another Goodwill in Santee, much larger. Going to check out the Quality Thrift shop, had some interesting items. I always learn something from your videos. Until next time, keep picking!
Goodness, My jaw dropped, when I read you were in El Cajon. Oh My! Of all the truly beautiful Towns in Our San Diego...Glad you made it in and out of the store safely. But, you did have your two big guys with you.😉 Many nice Thrift Shops, and Goodwills around our beautiful City. That little Shop had some unique pieces. Not anything you'd expect. Cathleen
At 32:20 that red coaster with Pluto does look like a small child's Snow Coaster. It looks like hand grips on the side. I do know they were made out of plastic and were really light weight.
I love watching your journey! This reminds me of back home antiquing with my father ...Great family hold 'Picker Road' ♥️ I was wondering if that first dish you left behind because of it not having a mark... The very old pieces are not marked until a certain time . Sending all the good vibes and wishing you the best of luckon your well-deserved success. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪 Claudia
Love that your in the San Diego area. I live a little south but no worries love your content. Lots more really great tacos all over SD. Try carne asada fries.
I love the color of your sweatshirt, Harlene. It is the same color as my boho living room😊 Can’t wait to watch now! Edit- I just realize you were in El Cajon. My son is the supervisor of the El Cajon police dept dispatch. He & his family live in Lakeside, which I will be traveling to this Saturday for a couple weeks. I get to visit that area (I’m in Portland, OR) at least 4 times a year. It’s such a beautiful place!
The decanter with the bowling guy on it looks like slag glass and they was going for a little bit of money. The last time I looked them up. I think they had liquor in them at one time but then pacific ones went for a little bit of money because they were slag glass.
I know and understand the why but it always is interesting that at one point, the comment is that an object is way too light and later the object is way too heavy. Perspective is everything.
So true. I have learned a great about the “feel” of good glass from Danni “The Niche Lady”. That’s why I comment when a piece of glass is too light to be of high quality. Many times when I comment that something is very heavy it is in reference to shipping. I am always trying to authentically describe to the viewer what I am handling. Thank you for watching!
I have an eBay store, but I honestly haven’t had time to list new treasures in a while! We are working on a way to make available for sale the goodies we find directly to our viewers!!! Stay tuned!
The El Cahone visit was great! It's so enjoyable to travel with you. I love your descriptions and how you "pick." I learn from your videos and you all are wonderful!

Loved your El Cajon travel video! The positive vibes and stunning visuals showcased the true essence of this hidden gem. Can't wait to visit!

Oops😙
@2:13 that's a Partylite piece, lead crystal, and sold single as I recall. I was a rep for most of the 80s. The disposable income decade....lol

I'm curious, how were the owls eyes weird on the mug?
If I remember correctly the paint was slightly worn off. It may not have visible on camera. Thanks for watching!
