Hey, Aspiring Comedians. I'm building a stand-up comedy memberships site and need your help. If you know what you want or need to learn to get better at stand-up comedy, please explain it in a comment. Then I can make a video or design a lesson that will fulfill your needs. Break a Funny Bone! GD

This is excellent advice!!! Did a bad set last night because I didn’t connect with the audience. Was focused on my set

Bad shows are part of the learning. Stay at it. Talk to other comedians about your bad shows. Also make the show about the relationship. Cheers,

In your book, Step by Step to Stand-up, you caution against letting the audience get the best of you, as it can put you at your worst. On the other hand, in the 'Handling Hecklers' section, you give some good tips for dealing with audiences.

The point is more about not taking it personally and continuing to play.
