@@MrRickster83 Well no, that's not really misery-more mere camp drama. A better analogy would be how so many people watch documentaries and dramas based on notorious serial killers and rapists etc. Or how people love to tune into the news to hear bad and tragic news, it sells better. People tune in because it dwells on misery and suffering so it's interesting. Jack the Ripper is almost a folk here for instance when he murdered several innocent women brutally.
I found Felicia more creepy than Martha Huber! Martha was just a vulture snooping for gossip and attention but Felicia was much more intelligent the way she understood human behaviour made her dangerous and she proved it when she set Paul Young up for murder!
@@wickedwitchoftheeast88 Both are cruel in a different extent. Martha came off as a psychopath who, despite her cookie-cutter, squeaky clean housewife appearance and cheerful demeanor, was reveling in other people's misery in order to feed her egotistical curiosity. She was conniving but likeable enough in appearance to make people believe she was nice. She used semblances of kindness to get ahead in life and her life in the neighborhood proved that. Martha was this prim, sly and mischievous woman who dressed herself with the perfect combination of cleanliness and colorfulness for the world to see, only to reveal herself gradually as a priggish, heinous loudmouth whose only pleasure was to make people bow down to her like the Queen she thought she was by using their truths against them in a form of cavalier, calculating self-righteousness. Felicia harbors sociopathy more because she doesn't make any efforts to hide her cunningness, her demeaning of others (especially her own child, Beth) and her deceit. Her very high intelligence and graceful manner of speech serves both as a cover-up for her callous and vengeful nature. She's icy and ruthless in a understated yet overaching extent and goes farther in the depths of cruelty because she was ready to go to extreme lengths to make others pay for their misdeeds, including inflicting injuries and mutilation on herself for that (Munchausen syndrome). For instance, framing Paul for her own death was a Gone Girl type of genius plan. It takes serious hatred toward others to build a plan that wild and feeling exhilarated about it. These two twisted siblings are amongst the most riveting yet disturbing female villains in daytime HISTORY.
@@moisemensah8233 I would say Martha was more of a narcissist than a psychopath although she does have a few traits of psychopathy like her lack of remorse for the horrible stuff she did to others especially Mary Alice. Felicia fits the psychopathy profile more than Martha does. Look at how she manipulated people she told Zach's grandfather Noah that he had a grandson to get revenge on Paul and when that failed she took a different approach. She drove him nuts to the point he went mad at her in front of witnesses, she called the police and acted scared and upset of Paul whilst for weeks pumping blood out of her body and then cutting her figners off to frame him for murder and it worked. That kind of thing takes careful planning and a meticulous attention to detail. Then when he was released and she was imprisoned she used her daughter to keep settling the score and when Beth killed herself she used that to get freedom. Look how she was able to manipulate Susan so she could poison Paul's food and leave Susan to take the blame for it. That takes alot of thinking, planning and serious detail to do those things and avoid suspicion and what makes her obsession with getting revenge on Paul for Martha so crazy is Felicia herself admitted she couldn't stand Martha and actually hated her!

The thing I love about Martha is her command over the English language. Her choice of words and her cadence of speech.
