Around 4:15 you are saying certain cameras are limited to specific resolutions ? You can shoot any of your cameras at max resolution when shooting anamorphic - 2k/4k/8k don't matter - Sensor area is the only thing that has to affect field of view ( APS-C vs APS-H vs 36mm or Open Gate ), I would definitely shoot a full res on all the cameras, and choose crop in post if needed. Shoot that BM Pro 6k at 6k and Squeeze in post, you'll have a more accurate comparison.
Right. When you do 6K it’s better, but the sensor size bm smaller for example than Komodo, so still it works, but you still lose a lot. Square sensor the best option for the anamorphic.
It's unfortunate to see that DZOFILM didn't switch to barrel Distortion the way they said they would when asked at a convention while showing off the lenses for the first time. The skewed flare in that one lens could be a sign of misalignment which is Not good. The flaring is unique and not just lines which is good. Front Anamorphics are the ideal method.

woow! thanks dude! 40mm looks pretty amazing. maybe it was a language barrirer but DZO said in some expo thing that they will correct the distortion type to be the classic one. this one is called pincussion distortion i think. since i own r5c too i have to ask - when all the cropping is done, what is the usable 40mm field of view compared to spherical lenses. is as wide as 35mm lens? looks like its even wider. all thse sensor and cropping things... you can never really calculate how wide it is :D

These tests shouldn't be released. They said the production model will be corrected, so it's counter productive to release these tests. But if that means people will underdog these. I'm all for it ! They will be hidden gems.
Hi! I was an idiot - take a look this tests, which is more accurate. This one made with full frame - which is I hope will work, but it’s not. I own this lenses, it’s a true - one of the first made prototype. I bought it exactly because they didn’t switch yet for barrel distortion which is pretty bad looking when you do more close ups shoot. Maybe I am wrong, but I think about this babies as a brilliant lenses. I actually finally understand this type of distortion, and in 35 cameras you can’t feel it so bad, anyway it’s unique look from it

40 did really good job, with it lens you can film everything
