how can she sue him when she outed herself? richard’s one wish was for people not to go finding her. she admitted to being martha. this always happens in cases when the man is the victim, the woman turns around and plays victim because it’s easier for people to believe.

In the film gadd admits he’s a compulsive liar and lied many times when he didn’t have to. YET everyone is now acting like his version is 100% true. Do you know who I believe? NO ONE untill the police records are shown
Gadd looks weird to me, his eyes look psychopathic. In the shorts, I assumed he was the perpetrator because of the strange vibe he gives off. You are right, why should we believe him?
I feel like they used each other tbh. In the series there were so many times I got annoyed that he kept egging on the situation. He could see she wasnt well mentally. We don't know what happened in real life. But in terms of the TV series both characters used each other to make themselves feel better. She was worse than him but he egged her on.
It was an interesting show and who cares if it's true or not. It got people talking about the complex issues behind stalking type behaviors.

@@Purpleakiindahouse you do know that even when a series or movie is "true" there's a lot of interesting fluff added for dramatic effect. There was a long documentary Series made about a place I used to work at (not Dunder Mifflin unfortunately). They would do retakes quite often for dramatic effect. Do I care about people being terrorized by stalkers? I absolutely do. Do I care whether Baby Reindeer is true or not? Not really as there are far worse untold stalking/violent crime incidents that we will never hear about BUT look at us we are all talking about it. That is what counts.

Everyone handles trauma and their abusers differently.
That was the point of the show. To raise awareness of how his abuse created a dependency on these individuals and the attention they gave him.
trauma is complex. so are victims. they do things that are frustrating. it’s just not depicted on tv enough

She has a law degree, is scottish, the reindeer toy is true story, the curtains remark happened, they picked an actrees who resembled her, people are recognizing her from a tweet she sent, connecting the dots... if it were her, they did a terrible job hiding it.
